Looks like Arafat is off to Paris. This is going to lead to all sorts of chaos within the Palestinians regardless of whether he survives this. Arafat is completely done in the Middle East either way.

i doubt it'll help eithe candidate...they can't really take credit for that. now what happens next could help one or the other, though...

I'm not sure how much power Arafat has had lately anyway. Seems to be becoming increasingly sort of irrelevant in the whole conflict.

He doesn't have much credibility and doesn't seem to have much control anyway.
