Poll coming on this one too....

After November 2nd after the election junk has calmed down, who is in support of keeping this little political forum going?

I think it was a great idea on the part of the mods and various members, and it's been nice to know that we can come in here and discuss, or retreat to the main nDMBc forum for other discussion.

Definitely more attacking than discussing, but I have seen some discussing too.

we definitely need this place to vent about politics - I don't think we want politics seeping into the other forums

i think we should all just keep our opinions to ourselves. everyone is nicer when they don't know where you stand on political issues.

you have a point . . . but talking politics is inevitable, and I'd rather have it here than in nDMBc or DMBc.

if Bush wins people will need a place to discredit his every move, if Kerry wins people will need a place to discredit his every move. Of course the number of liberals that compose this board far outwiegh the conservatives so I am sure Kerry in office would be alot quieter around here.

i assumed bush would be bad and he was a lot worse. it's not bad to have expectations of someone, whichever side you are on. the key is to realize that if they are doing well, that is reality, despite ideology that might claim otherwise.

I picked "keep it here", but it may get even uglier in here than it has been. at least now everyone thinks their guy is going to win. once that changes, the losing side (which i personally think is all of us either way) will be starting the "election was fixed" threads and the "i'm moving to Canada" threads. but better in here than eating up space in another forum.

Yes he does, and if i'm correct that was a quote from "The Big Lebowski" and what you said was just your opinion and he was pointing it out. No one is worthless... not even you.

ur 100% right, and ive read all ur posts, and i agree with NOTHING you say. hahaha. but thats ok, thats what makes it an opinion.

but if Bush gets into office, do democrats run and pout and say aww shit were screwed, or see what the dude does?

I'm not sure if they had planned to bring it back, or if my email pushed it forward, but I'm glad it's back. :)

:lol Thanks for opening it back up Jake, I think its a good idea, it'll get all the political stuff out of the main nDMBc forum, which I think is a good thing. For that reason, I think keeping it after election day is a good idea.

i def think it be a cool sub forum to have, it would def be a smaller group of ants that visit it more, but none the less still very cool to have imo

for what it's worth, I think the last time we had it up it was educational on all sides. Most people made their points by backing them up with facts (which are hard to dispute), and the majority of the debates were civil.

sure, some got out of hand, but I think people did a good job of presenting their facts fairly.

It is something we will certainly consider keeping, especially considering the vast interest we have in politics on this site (by users).

I'm sure there will be at least a couple months of good times once Barry-O makes it into the White House!!!!!!

I hope it stays around. If anything, we could turn it into a catch-all politics/philosophy/theology/etc subforum, as I've suggested once or twice before, at least until the 2010 elections roll around.

If McCain wins, I'm gonna watch MSNBC all day to see Keith Olbermann hang himself on national television. After paying for a new account over at SA, I'll probably also just read the Obamarama Megathread, for maximum lulz.

Either way, I probably wouldn't be here too much, as the obnoxious conservative smugness would completely cancel out the hilarity of the wailing and gnashing of teeth from everybody else.
