Bin Laden?? Who is he?? The biggest threat to America is Iraq.

Ignore any tapes made by anyone named Bin Laden. Afterall, Bush has been ignoring him for almost 2 years.

Why does something always have to be blown up into something its not on this damn board. Save that crap for a thread where it fits.

I just saw a snippit of it, but I didn't see anything that told me it was current.

The commentators said it 'prooves he's alive', but the soundbytes were all generic, nothing that even said he was alive in 2002 or 2003. Again, I haven't heard the full version, only clips.

Ok, ok. Basically what he is saying is that it does not matter if we elect Bush or Kerry. Our safety is up to us. If US Policy changes, the terror stops. If it continues, under either regime, so does the terror.

Why do we particularly care? The only benefit that could come from this is if the tape slips out some information about where he is so we can hit him between the eyes with a cruise missle or two.

I mean seriously, what's the guy gonna say? He's insane, he hates us, and he's going to try and attack again when he can figure out how... until then he'll make a lot of general threats. I'm betting I nailed the tape, and I haven't even seen it...

Please tell me you dont believe him. Please? Pretty please with sugar on top.

Im just telling you what he said. Of course I dont believe him. The terror will continue no matter who is elected and what they do.

Thats nice, what I hate is when someone comes out of nowhere with a rediculous statement... I guess yours kind of fits in that category too.

can't believe i'm saying this, but i just saw a minute or two clip from it, and bin laden actually sounded clear headed and calm. it was not some violent gun shooting display, or what might be considered a mad man.

Just because someone is a terrorist doesn't mean they are a mad man. Plenty of people throught time have commited horrible atrocities completely level headed, thinking there is nothing wrong with it.

I dont think ben was infering he WASNT a madman. But from the tapes ive seen back around 9/11, the man sound so coolheaded and calm that its unnerving. When you come off like youre a jesus like charcter and have the demeanor to back it up, control of the masses is pretty fucking easy.

Doesnt mean hes not crazy, just means hes good at it.

I'm leaning toward this being an old tape.

From what I read so far, the only reference to it being current is his reference to the 'entering' of the 4th yr after 9.11.

That's an awkard statement. Even with the language translation, it just sounds very generic.

just heard that on the news a bit ago.

obviously, Bin laden wouldn't have the power of foresight like that, unless he's right and Allah hates us.

I retract my statement based on the Kerry mention.

The reason he's wearing a goldrobe and sounds more clear headed is because he is trying to appeal to normal, non fundamentalist Muslims by appearing a legit head of state.

The reason he mentions My Pet Goat is because he's trying to show that he's in touch with the world, not hiding in a hole a la Saddam.

Oh, and he might be using reverse psychology. I think he wants Kerry elected, cause Kerry would freeze up for 17 minutes, and so tells us not to vote for Bush knowing we'll do the opposite...see?

That's not reverse pyschology at all.

I think him doing this shows how little he really understands about America. He'll probably see himself on CNN for about 48 hours and think this tape played a big part in the election.

no it's not pitiful. it's pitiful that the night of the third debate that was the first time in over a year the words "osama bin laden" came out of george's mouth. and if you all can't figure out why that is upsetting you are even more blind than i thought.

They tried to convince us that Osama was dead, and they were wrong. They tried to convince us that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and they were wrong. Now after billions and billions of our dollars spent and thousands upon thousands of innocent lives lost it still doesnt seem like enough republicans realize that regardless what party bush belongs to he is making reckless decisions not based on facts and has done nothing to make this a safer and stronger country. What I want to know from you republicans is what are your new reasons to support this guy and what will have to come to light to stop supporting him?

Hmmm for me to support another candidate. The candidate would have to keep the tax cuts for the wealthy, know how to deal with this war on terror (hard to deal with a war you agreed with and now dont). Would have to keep ON the offensive on this war. The candidate would not OPPOSE a national missle defense. The candidate would be pro-life. etc. etc.

I dont necessarily like Bush a lot I just happen to think he's the lesser of two evils.

ok couple of questions.

1. why does a canidate have to be pro-life?
2. why do tax cuts for the rich have to stay in place? (are you rich?)
3. what does "offense" constitute? (attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11?!?)
4. can i see where kerry claims to oppose national missile defense?

and the most important

5. why would you reward a person who has been wrong on all of his administrations predictions?
