Some are interpreting part of Osama Bin Laden's video message as a warning to states that vote Republican.

The Middle East Media Research Institute is not "respected", as the Post claims, and no one else shares it's interpretation of the video. I wouldn't spend much time worrying about much that the Post publishes.

I think some of you are missing the point. You should see the bigger picture here. 3 years later he is still alive, seemingly well and talking trash more or less. But that doesn’t matter because we caught the real bad guy, Saddam. Give me a break.

no, you give me a break. You want to infer all that from this? sorry, thats retarded.
Let's just say for the sake of argument that this was a credible source, and that he did actually say those things. The only real thing we could infer from that is that Bin Laden agrees with your choice for presedent. Now, If you think he wants an American President who will keep the country safe and hunt down terrorists, you are crazy. He wants someone weak enough to be influenced by him, and he thinks that person is the same person you are voting for. Thats if you take this as credible, which it obviously isn't

The National Enquirer is more likely to have a credible story.

I think if you read the entire Bin Laden tape transcript you could infer that Bush is doing exactly what Bin Laden wants him to.

My “take” is based off of this being an authentic recent video such most people seem to believe. My “take” is not an opinion it is a FACT. What did I say, based off of the video, that was not factual? I am very curious.

I have no idea what any of that means

you bringing saddam into it and whatever else you were trying to say doesn't belong in this thread

I tried throwing in a hint with the Saddam thing. Now assuming this is authentic which is what we are assuming when making comments on it. The big picture is that he even made the film not who he is supporting. It sounds as though people are more shocked about what he said rather then be more outraged that the tape was made by him. That’s all I am saying.

Were you really that shocked that OBL was alive? There is no evidence that he was dead.

You can't make that inference at all, and I just don't understand why people are trying so hard to push Bin Laden to the other person's team.
If Charles Manson said he was for Bush, would you vote for Kerry? If he said he was for Kerry, would you vote for Bush? Is anyone really going to base their vote on doing the opposite of their best guess of what a mass murder would do? Would you want him/her to?
This is insane...

I'm not advicating it. I started with "if you assume this is credible," which i don't assume. second, after that assumption, all I said was that if Bin Laden says red states are in trouble he must want people to vote for kerry. I didn't say I was being influenced, in fact if you look at the first thing i posted in this thread it says "people who vote by what Bin Laden says should be exiled."

Maybe Osama can attack us again and then we can invade Syria.
This can be looked at from either side. Osama is not stupid. He knows that by coming out and making fun of Bush, and threatening people with more terrorist acts that Americans will say "Fuck You Osama, I am voting for Bush, you can't stop me." And many will. Osama is counting on that. It is and has been much easier for someone like him to recruit new soldiers that will die for their cause if Bush is in power.
It is harder to recruit people to kill Americans if the leader of America would rather make peace than war.
On the other hand, if John Kerry wins this election, which looks likely, then Osama and the terrorists can sit back and say that they had a hand in changing the President of the United States. Osama is smart. He wins either way.
Now...about invading Syria....maybe we can demand they turnover WMD, and when they don't (because they don't have any) we can invade...well. GWB only has about 2+ months to get that started...

There is a reason he is talking about attacking us. Where were the tapes on September 10th saying he would attack us? If an attack was really to be launched soon, he wouldn't be putting out tapes giving us a heads up.

Garbage. Bin Laden clearly said he did not care who was in office. Bush or Kerry, anyone who threatens Muslim security will have theirs threatened. Bin Laden could care less who is in office.

I don't know how all of you say that this is an advocation of Kerry. Does Bin Laden really want to give up terrorism and plot destruction? No! It suits his ideological means for 4 more years of Bush. And yet, some of the interpretations on here further prove to me that people generally have to read things twice and think for a minute.
