I recently (today) recieved a mixer for Christmas. I was looking to do some recording on my computer, but now I completely feel overwhelmed and don't know what else to buy. Can anyone help?

what type of mixer did you get? do you have a microphone (other than the PC mic)

basically, you just plug your guitar into the mixer, plug the mic into the mixer, adjust the levels and you're set. it depends on the mixer, but on mine i got a cable that was one side RCA (ya know, those red and white cables that go into the front or back of your TV) and the other end was a plug that was able to fit into the line-in jack on my soundcard. that was all i needed to record and it was pretty good quality too.
