That was really good :thumbsup

Its just that the double voice thing you did towards the end is a little scary... maybe you should leave that part out. Other than that I liked your voice on it. The guitar part isn't very hard for that song, but you pretty much nailed it. Way to go.

By the way, I saw HD back in November in Pittsburgh, amazing show.

he came in november? i went to the show in october and that was amazing.

as for the cover, the quality is meh, and the lyrics seem to be a little forced, and by forcing them, it makes it seem meh and just not there, for me a least. and yea, leave the double voice thing out. music is very good, lyrics could use some polishing up though, not much, but some.

I'll echo it. Definitely get rid of the double voice effect.

All in all, I didn't like it too much. Something about the guitar just didn't sound that good/right, maybe try seperating those bass notes from the strumming a millisecond more? It's possible it was just too fast, is all... Sounded almost like a mess.

The voice was okay. Sorry, but you're definitely not my type.

Good luck with future recordings.

I'm working on getting a new recording up that has no static. That all happened somewhere between the transfer from the recorder to the computer. I should have a copy up without static and without the vocal layers soon

Yea, October, my bad. I was thinking th 10th month was November for some reason :freak

And after I listened to the second one.. way better without the double voice. I don't know if you're doing this wrong or not, but it sounds like you play the breakdown part (the "I've lost my place" part)differnt than me. It sounds like he plays more notes there. Maybe you're just looking at a differnt tab, because you played the exact same thing each time around.

dmb6743, do you remeber someone yelling "watchtower" towords the end of HD concert? Well that was me. I wanted him to play it so bad. It obviously wasn't the only song I wanted to hear... got to hear a lot of good ones.

i wanted to fucking kill that lady who kept yelling "Babylon". and then when he said "let's play bunnies" and then the front row cheered and he was like "hey the whole front rows happy"...yea, that was us. and i dont remember hearing watchtower tho.

Just listened to the second transfer/recording and I like it a bit better. It's easier to listen to without the static and the dual voice layer. Although when you hear your voice in the parts where you recorded the dual layer, it sounds awkward because when you recorded it you were preparing for that obviously.

But, that strumming still really gets me. It sounds way too fast. I like to hear those bass notes ring before the strum of the chord, like in "Crash Into Me". If you picked up the Special Edition of Stop All The World Now he's got an acoustic version of "Collide" in there and it's much slower than what you're playing... It just sounds better that way, at least to me.

Again, nice shot at it. Good luck with future recordings.

Yea, I know, its kind of like those idiots that scream out dumb songs at D+T shows. It was worth a shot... have you ever heard him do WT>Halloween>WT?

Dr. Pepper guy- I was 3 rows back pretty much centered. We should have met up or something so we could have talked about dmb before the show :rolleyes
