Over winter break me and my friend recorded this cover at my house. He's on guitar and vocals and i'm on a mallet synthesizer with a piano sound. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

not bad at all...i really like the piano, vocals are good, but is the guitarist using an electiric?
edit:some more work could be done with vocals...seems like he has trouble with hitting those high notes

Thanks for the input! He was using a fender 12 string plugged into a Roland AC-60 amp. Keep em coming people:)

Advice: Drop the 12 string and play it with a 6. Yes i know 12 strings are cool, but it doesn't sound very good in this particular song. And must be acoustic...but thats obvious
**how long have you been playing piano, your pretty damn good

I started playing piano when I was six but i kind of dropped it when i started playing percussion in middle school. Then i combined the percussion and piano together to become a mallet player. Now i'm a freshmen in college. I recorded this on a malletkat(see attatched pic) which is more or less an electronic xylophone. I used a kurzweil PC2R sound module instead of the internal soundcard and used a piano patch on it. Thanks for all of the input!

not bad... id considder re-recording it with a 6 string, and maybe using the 12 to play some accent chords or maybe a subtle lead in there... the mallet jammy was awesome, definatley the best part of the recording. voice isnt bad, has potential for sure but i think its a matter of learning to manage your breathing a little better... overall nice work
