Do the Caras have a match or you guessing? I don't know if Rhodes has an announced match or not but I see him winning regardless. I am real hesitant on my Air Boom pick seeing as I hate them, but it was all but confirmed that they maintain after each lost a singles match to their opponents. ADR probably will lose, but I am pulling for him to win just to prove the WWE isn't the same stuck in the mud company. Henry is long over due for a win and I think he gets it this weekend. The fatal 4way is too hard to pick and I almost went with Morrison, but decided to have Ziggler retain. My guess is they fuck Ziggler over and have Vickie cause him the match as she tries to help Swagger and it distracts Dolph. This will pull him into a pointless feud with Swagger/Vickie with no belt on the line which sucks. I hope I am wrong so I still go with Dolph to retain.

I will be at a wedding and reception tomorrow and will try to hold off from peaking at results til I can try and catch them on youtube. I hope its a good PPV for those who can catch it.

As much as Miz/Truth winning the titles would be great, they don't really need them. What needs to happen is that Air Boom retains so the tag team division can have an actual rivalry over the next couple of PPV's, with Mizuth finally taking the straps in a stipulation match.

I'm tempted to give Henry the victory tomorrow, because if he does it in the next PPV it makes no sense as the Strongest Failure aspect of it loses it's steam. But I'm leaning towards Orton going over again and Henry going strapless for the near future. I just don't see them giving it to Mark, loyal over three decades or not.

This is the chance for the IC/US title to pick up steam. Some actual "personal" storylines going on in these matches.

As we previously reported, the match between Sting and Ric Flair which aired this past week on Impact Wrestling, was said to be quite a mess, with several botches and missed spots.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Ric Flair legitimately suffered an injury to his left arm during the bout, but it has yet to be revealed how serious the injury is.

It's also being reported that the match was heavily edited before it aired on television this past Thursday night.

1. Tommaso Ciampa & Rhino beat Homicide & Jay Lethal. Fine opener. Lethal got the hot tag and it broke down into a four-way. Homicide tagged back in, Lethal took out Rhino, then Ciampa pinned Homicide with his back cracker finish. Ciampa was by far the greenest guy in the ring, but he got the pin.


2. Shelton Benjamin beat Mike Bennett. Highlight of the match was the various chants, nearly all directed at Mike Bennett, whom the crowd HATED. I mean, they hated this man. He got the heat and worked over Shelton's back. Shelton did the big comeback, then Brutal Bob hit the ring right in front of the ref. It was like a TNA finish, the difference being that they actually did it very well so I was fine with it. And nothing got sprayed in anyone's eyes. Shelton tried to kick Bob, Bob spun him around, Shelton did his kick but hit Bennett, which looked great, then superkicked Bob outside and hit the paydirt on Bennett for the pin.


3. Young Bucks beat Bravado Brothers and Future Shock in a three-way elimination match. This was a hell of a lot of fun. It was like one long train wreck with a bunch of really cool three-way spots mixed in. Fans loved it and were chanting "THIS IS AWESOME!" and "THIS IS WRESTLING!" Bravados were eliminated first, then the Bucks used their combo 450/moonsault finish for the pin. The whole point of this match appeared to be to put over the Bucks and alert the world that they were, in fact, very talented despite what "a third-rate wrestling announcer" might have claimed. This was a reference to Booker T, obviously.


4. Generico NC Jimmy Jacobs. Only problem with the match was that it was largely heatless. The work was very good. Generico went for his top rope brainbuster but Jacobs turned it into a super DDT. Suddenly, through the crowd came Kevin Steen. He was SHOOTING on the mic and they cut him off, then security came out. The highlight of the brawl was when Generico tried to do a running dive onto him but Steen moved and Generico wiped out like twenty security guys. That was awesome. Steen tried to give Cary Silken the package piledriver, but it was broken up, then Cornette came out and was screaming at Steen and even threw a wild punch. Fans were super into it, screaming for Steen. The melee was very much like the one they ran with him on the last PPV.


5. Charlie Haas beat Michael Elgin in a House of Truth vs. Haas of Pain match. Match also lacked crowd heat. They did get into the big spots, including a run-up-the-ropes German by Haas, which flipped Elgin completely over. He also took a 360 bump for a Haas clothesline, which ended up being the finish. Good match, nothing blow-away or anything.


6. Roderick Strong vs. Eddie Edwards in the Ringmaster Challenge. Rules were the first fall was pinfall only, the second fall was submission only, and the third fall was a fifteen minute Iron Man match. Long story short, they split falls, Roddy winning the first via pinfall and Eddie winning the second via submission, then they ended up 1-1 at the end of the Iron Man match. Cornette came out and said this match wasn't ending in a draw, and they weren't doing the five more minutes gimmick, he was just going to ring the bell and they could go all night long. They traded a million nearfalls and hard strikes before Eddie finally hit him with two powerbombs, a lariat and a die hard cradle driver for the pin. They went about 40 minutes and it was an awesome match. They said Eddie won a future shot at Davey Richards' ROH Title. Richards, for the record, is in Japan working right now.


7. Rhett Titus & Kenny King beat the Briscoes in Ladder War III to win a future shot at the ROH Tag Team Titles. A wild, bloody, violent, nutty brawl. The peak was a spot where Mark Briscoe climbed to the very, very tippy top of a 12-to-15 foot ladder and did a big splash, putting Rhett Titus through a table on the floor. This was complete madness. Everyone but King bled, and Jay in particular was bleeding like crazy, blood just leaking out of his head like a faucet. Rhett and Mark were dead, so Jay and Kenny climbed the ladder and had a brawl at the top. Kenny ended up winning, Jay fell off the ladder, and Kenny grabbed the contract to win. This was the kind of match that WWE's "PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME" was referring to. But a hell of a way to cap off the show.

While I agree about the Kelly2 and Cena stuff, the bolded doesn't really make sense. Cody and Ted have been in this storyline for a long time on SD. Just because it wasn't announced 3 and a half weeks in advance didn't take a single thing away from the match. If you watch SD every week, or at least read up what happened, the match made complete sense. Not to mention it was a very, very good match on top of it. Their feud isn't over yet either; it'll continue building. Cara/Cara would have been a random match that needed more build (although when Bo and I were talking about time, I mentioned it as a potential filler. thankfully I was wrong, and it wasn't even needed anyway).

Well you're right about the betrayal being more recent. But they obviously had to rekindle their history to start the storyline up. Then they began working in the Cody-clearly-better-than-Ted kinds of stuff. Then they added stuff like the backstage spot with Cody telling Ted if he loses another match, he's getting bagged. Just that type dissension starting. So yeah, when the betrayal happened more recently, it still had the build up from months in advance. Most of which was before Cody even won the IC Title. That was just extra icing on the cake; a great idea that worked out in a bunch of other ways too since it helps make Cody legit, it helps keep the title legit since Rhodes is obviously fantastic, another ripple in the storyline, etc.

I understand what you mean about the time of match announcing for PPV cards, for the most part. But with Cody and Ted for example, I think it's been okay.

Goes to show how devalued and unprestigious it is nowadays. Christian's 5 day reign, Mysterio's what, 90 minute reign a month or so ago and other 1 day holds are some of the dumbest I've seen.

Cena is the biggest Wrestling star in the world right now. He is starting to become a household name, and can sell out an arena with just his name on the card. Cenation is just as strong as Hulkamania. As much as i hate his limited ability and his overall character, the guy knows how to make money for the E' and knows how to put asses in the seats. Especially the kiddies.

If CM Punk, Jericho, HHH, or Miz went over to TNA it wouldn't have near the impact as Cena going over would.

Orton is the only one besides Cena who has enough clout to maybe draw some big attention. But even then i don't think it would make a huge deal.
