Well, obviously TNA is nothing to him now, but it still has potential.

Either way, I love how the draft went. All I know about Ezekial is he was in a stable with Regal on ECW. He's a pretty big guy, but I don't know how his in ring skills are. Probably nothing to be excited about.

I mean in some interviews Vince has said that he wished TNA the best and hopes that they are successful. he did the same thing with WCW. He never was one to try and bury them until Eric Bishoff started playing dirty.

I would love for Goldust to get some backstage segments. He is by far one of the funniest characters that they have going today. Santino blows at humor.

It's not that bad if you think about it. They were putting up barely a 1 during RVD's title win, running an unopposed hour.

Now they had to compete with a big event for WWE, and had no hour unoppoosed. Granted Raw's 8-9 hour sucked dick, but I'm sure people tuned in just to see some draft action.

From 411mania as well.
- According to Pwinsider.com, the reason that Raw got the bulk of the "big name" talent in the draft is due to Smackdown's status on MyNetworkTV. Many MNTV affiliates have started to move Smackdown off of Friday nights, which will cause the show to have less penetration than it has in the past. The WWE realized that with this being the case, there is no reason to push the show at this time. They plan to build it back up with the move to SyFy in October.

JacobLovesYou
04-28-2010, 06:54 PM

TNA has announced that Rob Van Dam will defend his TNA title tomorrow night on the live Impact. TNA is dropping hints that the challenger will be the person who is leading the contender's poll on the TNA website. Desmond Wolfe was planned for the match, but right now he and Jeff Hardy are virtually tied. Hardy has 123,714 votes while Wolfe has 123,627.

Also being advertised is Hulk Hogan confronting Sting.

Who are the main eventers right now?

Batista - rumored to be leaving
Jericho - starting a program with Miz
Edge - feud with Orton
Cena - champion
Orton - feud with Edge
Sheamus - title contender
H - injured

I think it's good with all the talent. Now they might actually be able to have more tag teams to challenge the Hart Dynasty. I can see these 3 being the main competitors for them.

Hart Dynasty
Truth/Morrison
Miz/Jericho

And I'm sure you could toss in some former ECW'ers like Tatsu and Ryder into the mix, and maybe DiBiase, if his assistant is someone who could actually compete.

kittensXLI

Regal/Kozlov

I think people like Bourne and Tatsu could develop a bit in a tag team (not necessarily with each other).

I pray Morrison doesn't continue to be buried with R-Truth.

EDIT - I guess by default there's Carlito/Primo. Maybe pair up Goldust and Santino or something if neither are getting singles pushes. At least let them job together as a team since WWE is so short on them.

Crush086
05-04-2010, 10:43 AM
I think Morrison would be a nice suitor for the US Title (which Miz hasn't defended in forever it seems), but as far as I know Truth and Morrison were still a tag team as of the draft right?

kittensXLI

For some unknown reason, WWE has been very stingy with having the US Title change hands. I LOVE it, though.

Crush086

I like what they're doing with the title too, but I'd at least like to see him at least defend it.lol

Besides, a Miz/Morrison feud would be fitting I think, considering the past.

kittensXLI
05-04-2010, 10:53 AM
I agree with both of those statements.

They should also feud because they're two of the top talents outside of the main eventers, in my opinion, and could definitely put together a great, long program and both wind up over.

UPDATE: Raw's rating was a 3.05, with 4.35 million viewers. The show did hours of 2.90 (4.10 million viewers) and 3.20 (4.60 million viewers). The rating is tied with the April 19 Raw for the worst rating since December 2008.

Of note is that the show lost nearly a million viewers from last week to this week in the 9PM hour, opposite Impact. The second of three hours last week drew 4.99 million viewers, while this week's first hour had 4.10 million.

The Impact rating was a 0.78 rating with 1.1 million viewers, off hours of 0.91 and 0.66. Although this rating is up from last week, it does represent the lowest Monday rating for a live show.

Crush086
05-11-2010, 09:43 AM
Randy Orton started the night and RKO'ed Meatloaf (he was out promoting a CD or something. I have no clue why he was there to begin with). Edge announced Vickie Guerrero as new GM of Raw, and announced a Handicap match, Edge and a partner vs. Randy Orton.

Tyson Kidd defeated The Miz to decide who in the Hart family gets a shot at Miz's US Title. Miz of course chose Bret Hart. That's next Monday.

Evan Bourne beat Zack Ryder

The 8 NXT Rookies beat Goldust/Yoshi/John Morrison/Santino (pinned by a winless guy).

Cena announced an "I Quit" match against Batista at Over the Limit. He was ambushed by Sheamus and Batista. Mark Henry intervened.

Mark Henry vs. Batista as a result of the intervention. Batista beat the crap out of him with a chair before the match even started.

Edge and Ted DiBiase vs. Randy Orton. Randy got a streak going and went for the RKO on DiBiase. DiBiase countered and slid out of the ring, but was chased back in by R-Truth, which led to Orton RKO'ing him for the win. He went outside to assault Vickie (who was at ringside), she screamed she resigned, Orton RKO'ed Edge outside, and Vickie gets away. Show ends.

I think that's everything, but I went to go pick up pizza around 9:15 so I may have missed a match.

Absolutely. They are building him up as the anti-hero. Orton can't cut a promo like austin could so they are not making him speak very much. Notice how he has barely said anything the last few weeks. But they are building him to be a Don't Trust Anybody character where he walks alone and fights his own battles. I mean he even has his own snake nickname. The Viper. Austin was the Texas Rattlesnake.

Randy is easily my favorite wrestler in wwe. He has everything i love. He doesn't have to do anything close to a face move to get over with the fans. I thought the edge/orton segment was awesome when edge was saying how he did everything by the book, he came back from injury, he won the royal rumble, he cam up with a catchphrase for the fans, and yet they still didn't care about him. Yet Randy only cares about himself and does whatever he wants and everyone cheers for him.

Before the Abyss/Chelsea angle, there was no buzz for the Abyss/Wolfe match going into the PPV.

There we go. I needed that. 1-1 here. Half-decent match. The opening match was solid. Well on our way to a solid PPV.

A couple nasty-looking bumps in this match. I like what I see and am happy they're giving these two some time in the ring.

Ah shit, I just realized I put down Tara. :BANG

Epic fail. 3-1. Think she will head back to the WWE?

I don't think so about Tara, but who knows?

With MCMG winning the #1 contendership, I'd say it's a good bet that the Band retains here.

Did Hall hit the $2.99 all-you-can-eat buffet at the titty bar before the match? Dude is huge.

Should've seen him a couple months ago. He's definitely in better shape now than he was... if that's saying much.

The Band retains the title with some outside interference. The Ink, Inc / Team 3D program was just put into motion. (2-3)

3-2. I figured Bubba would interfere.

I swear Hall and Nash must have asked "give me a sec....let me catch my breath" every time they entered the ring.

Them having the belts is almost comical.

5-3 here, too.

This has been a really good PPV. Probably their best one of the year, from top to bottom.

I think RVD/Styles will deliver to close the PPV.
