I fail to see how Miz got buried? What were you all expecting, Rock to do nothing?

I think it was pretty clear he was going to kick Cena's ass and Miz's ass regardless.

I don't even care that he beat down Miz afterwards, that's fine. But Miz did practically nothing the entire match.

I'm not even totally saying they got buried, just that it was incredibly terrible finish.

this. if miz got rock bottomed for cena to win and then the rock lifted cenas hand (my worst fear) miz would be buried

No offense, b/c I'm really JUST getting back into wrestling, but I never thought that whole situation where Rock would put Cena over was even imaginable. Even if the WWE wanted it to happen, I don't think Rock would ever let that clown be seen as something great. Rock wouldn't have come back for that.

I would much rather have the Rock beat him, and bury him, then face Miz and put Miz over for good. I didn't like Miz much at first, but he's one of the last hopes of a real superstar sans the rock or any of the older guys who have been around. I like that Morrison dude too. He's got the look. Not sure how people don't know how to use a microphone, but they should teach them.

Anyone who thinks Miz did nothing last night is blind. The ONLY person in WM history to have an even remotely good match with Cena is HBK. Cena can't freaking wrestle. Miz carried him the entire night. Last time I checked, most heels do not win cleanly, aside from the monsters and people like H. I have zero problem with Miz winning after a Rock Bottom to Cena. What in the world did people think was going to happen? The Rock just do nothing? That's your own fault if so.

Agree to the bolded. They should have stuck to the classic, run-in with ref knocked out finished. it works much much better,

Disagree Strongly to the Underlined. Elimination chamber was ok at best. This Wrestlemania was nearly a 4 star event on the WM scale.

One match lived up to being Wrestlemania worthy. Some of the ratings for the matches really make me shake my head.

Sheamus/Bryan really should've made the card. Had to make room for all of the video packages, Pee Wee Herman, and Snoop Dogg, though.

my wrestlemania thoughts:

- sheamus v daniel bryan should've made the card and it is a damn shame it didn't. it got multiple pushes on RAW. this match not making it is further evidence of how bad WWE has fucked up the belts and the importance of belts.

- edge v. del rio was a great match and i liked the car vandalism at the end. i really wanted del rio to win this, but with it being the first match of the show, i knew there was ZERO chance. del rio's push has been very fast though, so hopefully they keep going with the edge/christian/del rio thing and del rio can win the title at summerslam.

- cody rhodes v. captain mysterio was a great match and i'm glad as hell they gave cody rhodes the win.

- the 8 man tag match was terrible. this was a perfect point for a great traditional tag team match with the top 2 teams in the tag division. unfortuneately, if there is one thing that WWE has let fall into worse disrepair then title importance, it's the tag division.

- orton v. punk was great. i'll be sad to see their feud die down. orton has a ton of heat from the crowd these days, but punk is really the star. he's a great old school heel and reminds me a ton of ric flair at moments. escaping the RKO last night and sitting on the apron laughing... great stuff.

- cole v. lawler paid off a hell of a lot better then hart v. mcmahon last year. i think for the most part the quality was what to be expected. i didn't mind that cole won by DQ but i do mind that stone cold has turned into a parody of himself. i understand the guy can't wrestle anymore but last night you got a terrible feeling watching him "referee" that was "so this is where steve austin is at now, eh?" they did a good job making the rock's comeback look completely removed from fast five, whereas the steve austin thing seemed like a desperate grab for more buys and a push for tough enough.

- about a third of the way through the taker/HHH match, a huge thunderstorm (huge hail, big winds, the works) came and we lost the dish signal. it came back as they were loading taker onto the stretcher at the end. i woke up in the middle of the night just in time to watch the part i missed during the replay. this was really great stuff from two veterans. it sounds so lame to say, but the two should be damned proud of themselves. besides the obvious stuff they put their bodies through last night, it has to be damn hard to not have the match devolve into the feeling of "oh these poor old bastards killing each other is kind of sad to watch..." they did a great job, easily had the best match of the night, and i'm starting to hope undertaker retires undefeated at WM. there is no up and comer that deserves the kind of push beating him would bring. he should retire undefeated and they should build that clout up for decades as the greatest record in wrestling history.

- the satellite signal came back just in time for.... snooki-mania! everything about this match was an abortion. they had to have a downer match after taker/HHH, but i'm just hard pressed to believe that this one had to be it. if they put sheamus v. daniel bryan here, it could've been a nice, quick, athletic match that served the same pacing purpose as snooki-mania did. it also could've made the US Championship seem important.

- Miz v. Cena was a let down. nothing about the match really brought it. Miz did great and i was happy as hell to see him leave the champion. i loved the heelish, dazed, cross eyed look on his face when he got his hand raised, like he thought he did it by himself. a big glaring problem i had with this match was that they had the rock come down and announce that WM was not over, only for it to end literally 90 sec later. i don't have a problem with the count out/restart, but the match should've lasted several more minutes until rock interfered. lastly, if all they were going to have the rock do was rock bottom cena and rock bottom/people's elbow miz, then they should'nt have had him rock bottom and give the people's elbow to alex riley (pretty sure it was him, not miz) last week on RAW. when rock gave miz the people's elbow last night all i could think of was "yeah i saw him do this 6 days ago"... however, if last night was the first rock bottom/people's elbow he'd done in 7 years, it would've felt important and i would've been psyched to watch the rock in action.

Do you disagree with anything that i said? He really is the total package.

oh, and rock's promo to open was great, the snoop thing was retarded, and the may young/stone cold thing was good but could've been so much better. stone cold should've handed him a beer or something. the only other problem i had as far as "misc" goes is that the rock was "THE HOST" of wrestlemania, so he should've involved himself one more time in front of the audience inbetween the opening and the end. like he should've sat in on commentating during rey/rhodes and distracted the ref for a second or something while rey took off cody rhodes mask... or something along those lines, i'm just throwing that out there.

well it wasn't the worst thing i've ever seen a wrestler do, but there was just nothing important about stone cold being there. he drove down the ramp in a 4 wheeler which was sweet, but generally speaking, it all felt promotional and unimportant. even hosting tough enough seems like they're devaluing his character.

The ONLY person i would give the streak ender to at this point is CM Punk. He is 30 years old, a proven team player, a proven draw, and it would catapult him into stardom. And if they built it correctly it could turn him into the biggest baddest best heel in since HHH in 2000.

The one think i know about Austin is that he has a burning love for the business and any chance that Vince tosses him to get involved in the action he takes it. I don't fault him for having a love for the business. it isn't like he gets in there and stinks the joint up and bleeds all over the place to make up for it like Hogan or Flair.

After posting several tweets last night lashing out at WWE wrestlers who used some his moves including the Angle Slam and the Ankle Lock, Kurt Angle posted the following today claiming his account was hacked:

"To anyone I upset, I am sorry. I didn't watch W-mania last night. I DID get a lot of tweets during Show. About Orton, Swagger, etc.Who cares?"

"I think the whole thing is Halarious. How I upset all of U amazes me.I don't read dirt sheets, but u heard they r upset. They're 'dirt' sheets."

"I Hope that W-mania was entertaining for all of You, especially 'The Rock'. Oh, and Orton-relax, I won't beat ur ass. You can use my move:)."

"2 Randy Orton's credit, I Heard He had the best match of the night. Good for You! Btw,I Never used Shamrock's finish while he still wrestled."

"There's a big difference to using a Finish somebody did b4 U, and is doing while U still Wrestle. The fact is, I don't care. Sorry everybody."

"Lastly,I just found out somebody hacked into my Twitter account. Most of those tweets weren't from me.I just found out today. I will find out."

"Who would do this? I don't know why somebody would pretend to be me. I apologize for the remarks. I'm not a twitter guy so I rarely use it."

"On a side note,Randy and I discussed the Angle Slam.I am happy Orton used my Finish. As he put it,imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."

"Good Luck Randy. Thank You for reaching out to me!!!"

"Remember that Wrestlemania is an Event bigger than all of us. If You enjoyed it, great. That's most important. Social networking is a Bitch."

Alright after waking up at noon, I've decided to throw in my Wrestlemania review.

Rock's opening promo **** 1/2*

I had to re-watch this. I originally heard only about a quarter of his promo due to being in a loud room with 50+ people and following along with the drinking game. Upon second viewing, it was much better than originally viewed. Almost no one can cut a promo like him.

Wrestlemania 27 Opening Video/Pyro *****
It's WM, the pyro is always great.

Alberto Del Rio vs Edge ****
17 minutes in and we finally get to see some action. We were all surprised to see it on this early. Figured it made perfect sense to have Edge lose the belt and set the tone for the show early, of course I was wrong (when was the last time WWE used this type of logic *slaps self*).

Liked that Christian got his own entrance. Great all around match, with both getting in some great offense moves. Loved the finishing. It had great timing I thought, and was booked correctly. The destroying of the car was good and added insult to injury. Another note, why do all weapons in the WWE need to be black? A black metal pipe? It looks fake even though you know it isn't.

I hope this feud continues and either Christian gets involved and/or Del Rio wins the belt at Over the Limit.

May I add, I like Brodus Clay. There is a few things Wrestling (or should I say Entertainment?) has lost and one of those is a nasty looking bruiser. It works well for him. Some one also said he looked like Bowser from Super Mario. :lol.

Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes **** 1/2*
I had a lot of people ask me who this Rhodes guy was. Even from people that watched WM last year and remembered the Legacy triangle match. :lol

He won over a lot of people with this match. I am one of them. I give Rey credit for hand picking him. I'm not sure if they booked it to where Rhodes was to carry him to make him look that much better, but it worked perfectly. I wish he would have removed Rey's masked as promised, because that Captain America outfit was horrendous and I'm a HUGE CA fan. You're playing to the Mexican nationals and you were the red/white and blue? Really?

Snoop Segment ***

I know I'm going to get heat for this BUT, the segment was somewhat enjoyable. I guess the people around us, made it work. We Will Rock You was horrifically bad, but Piper coming out saved it. Hornswoggle's rap... :banned

Note: When I rewatched the show, I skipped through it because I knew upon second viewing it wouldn't have worked.

8 man Tag ** 1/2*

Where do I begin with this? Better question, Where does the Corre go from here?

I expected a squash match somewhere on this card, because there always is and heard the dirt sheets talk about being crunched for time. I would have liked to seen the Corre get more offense in. The few spots in there worked for what the match was...cheap face-team pop. And for that, it worked. Even our crowd popped for Santino's Cobra (he is beyond over). None of it made sense however.

Rock/Eve/Mae/Austin segment ****
Who doesn't want the People's Struddle? n/h

Orton vs CM Punk *** 3/4*

It was good, but just didn't fully deliver. I read afterwards they were crunched for time and Orton was pissed backstage because of it. Re-watched and again it didn't fully deliver. I don't see what adding even another 5 minutes would have done to further the story development. Again, for what they had to worth it, it worked I suppose. Just the payoff seemed, underwhelming. I don't know why, but it just felt that way. Would love to see this feud continue at a later time (maybe another 2 years?).

Mean Gene/Rock/PeeWee Herman Segment *** 1/2

Segment got the crowd back into it. Pee Wee, was Pee Wee, and Mean Gene is great playing bit roles (like last year). It's hard to keep people's attention for 4 hours and this got enough people's attention for what came next really got everyone back into it...

Hall Of Fame Inductees *****

Ah yes. We had some really loud HBK chants going before even Abby got introduced. Great stuff.

King vs Cole *** 1/2

This is one of those matches, where hearing the commentary again (I could barely hear any commentary the first around), really set up everything. Swagger's facial expression when SC's music hit was priceless. Cole running into the Cole Mine, was just a weasel thing to do it worked. Cole extending his hand out, and getting slammed against the plexi-glass, brought the :lolz (Cole's face against the glass, was close to becoming my new avatar :lol). Look it was better than the other cheap retribution feuds like Hart/Vince last year. Everyone knew what was going to happen, and that King was going to have to carry the match. So what more could you have wanted? Oh I know. A non-bullshit finish. I guess for future storyline sake, you couldn't pass up the opportunity of associating Cole with the GM (i.e. GM is working in cahoots with him etc.) As for Stone Cold's involvement, like the rest of the match, it went exactly how I expected.

The payoff delivered, but didn't care for the stunners on Booker T, and Matthews. It seemed like just a cheap pop and to get them out behind the announce booth. However, I got to see the Spin-a-rooni and 2 more Stunners (the cheap popped worked).

Triple H vs The Undertaker *****

Since I stole Speilmen's outline, I am going to steal this match review:

"This match absolutely destroyed every pre-conceived idea I had going into it.

It was one of the best matches of HHH’s career and certainly top 10 for Undertaker. The buildup for the match was rushed and not good, but they delivered just like they did at X-Seven. HHH proved that he is one of the best ring generals of the last 20 years. He carried the match to a MOTY candidate. I may buy the WM 27 DVD just for this match. IMO this match should have been the Main Event. Undertaker did the best sell job of his career."

It was well paced, it was spot filled, but done right. Nothing really felt "set-up". Hell we even got a head chair shot! I can't find a gripe.

Taker was beat to shit going into the match, and coming out of the match he looked beat to shit and that was probably the greatest sell job ever.

6 person mixed tag match *** 1/2*

I don't rate this as a wrestling match, but more as a comedy segment. For what it was, it worked. Snooki surprised me with that tub of lard, cartwheel or whatever you want to call it. Trish still has some ring trust, but could out-match most of the current Divas (don't know if that's saying much though). Morrison's Starship Pain to the outside, was his one and only highlight, meh. Again, I knew this wouldn't be a match going into it, even with Morrison and Ziggler being in it. It was just a well done segment.

The Miz's video segment *****

Normally I don't care to rate video segments, but Miz's segment was f*cking AWESOME. I loved it. I really felt WWE was putting him over with that segment.

John Cena's video segment ****

I don't know if it was deliberate, but I had a feeling of nervousness in the pit of my stomach of Cena winning after all that Hustle Respect Loyalty bullsh*t the E shoves down our throats. Even with The Rock somehow involving himself. I just didn't see the match ending any other way.

Cena vs. The Miz

I though this match would be as good as last year's Cena vs. Batista match. Nothing great, but solid and better than I had hoped. Sadly it was below that. Cena looked even worse then normal, even the Cena fans in the place we're asking what's wrong with Cena. I later found out he was recovering from a concussion supposedly, but he just looked out. The Miz kicking out of the AA was great, as was getting out of the STF. I though The Miz looked great, or as good as he could look to a concussed Cena. I didn't like the whole knocking down the ref, and having Cena pin Miz for an unofficial 3. Cena can't lose even in a double count-out. Could Wrestlemania really end in a double count out? Really? Really?!? It was an queasy feeling. Such undercard to finish with this shit?

I didn't care for the restart either. Everyone knew The Rock was going to get involved but, it just felt. I don't know, it just left a bad taste in everyone's mouth except for the fact, The Rock will now definitely have to have a match at some point in the future.

Miz didn't look weak, if anything it brought down everyone's stock in my eyes. Cena looked horrible in all aspects, and booking the unofficial 3 count in a double count-out is pathetic. Just goes to show you how much WWE wants to keep Cena over. Even when he clearly looked gawd awful in the ring. They could have handled The Rock getting involved better, have Rock run down the ramp and bump the ref outside or something. Classic all too predictable swerve, but sometimes thats what you need to get things down. It's Classic for a reason. The Rock shouldn't have to restart a match, just to Layth the Smackdown on someone's Candy Ass.

In any case, Miz won. End of story, he won and kept the belt walking out of Wrestlemania, even if he has to get Rock Bottomed and People Elbowed.

Overall I give it a ****
I give it a 4, because it was solid from start to finish for the most part and considering its now "Entertainment" the wrestling matches for the most part delivered, and few even exceeded all exceptions.

Cena vs. The Miz ** 1/2*

I thought this match would be as good as last year's Cena vs. Batista match. Nothing great, but solid and above my exceptions. Unfortunately, it didn't. Cena looked even worse then normal, even his fans at our viewing were asking what's wrong with him. I later found out he was recovering from a concussion supposedly. I didn't like knocking down the ref, and having Cena pin Miz for an unofficial 3 count.

Cena can't lose even in a double count-out!

Could Wrestlemania end in a double count out? Really? Really?!? It was a queasy stomach feeling moment for sure. Such a great undercard to finish with this shit?

Then we get a shitty restart. Everyone knew The Rock was going to get involved but, it just felt, I don't know, it just left a bad taste in everyone's mouth except for the fact, The Rock will now definitely have a match at some point in the future.

Coming out of this The Miz didn't look weak, if anything it brought down everyone's stock in my eyes. Cena looked horrible in all aspects, and booking the unofficial 3 count in a double count-out is pathetic. Just goes to show you how much WWE wants to keep Cena over, shove him down our throats, or what would be the best build-up ever, make him so annoying they would have to turn him heel (who the fuck am I kidding *punches self*).

They could have handled The Rock getting involved better. Bump the ref outside the ring, and have Rock run down the ramp or something. A Classic but all too predictable swerve, but sometimes thats what you need to get things done. It's a Classic swerve for a reason! The Rock shouldn't have to restart a match, just to Layth the Smackdown on Someone's Candy Ass!!!

In any case, Miz won. End of story, he won and kept the belt walking out of Wrestlemania, even if he had to get Rock Bottomed and People Elbowed.

The Champ Is Here. Thank God It Isn't John Cena!

The one think i know about Austin is that he has a burning love for the business and any chance that Vince tosses him to get involved in the action he takes it. I don't fault him for having a love for the business. it isn't like he gets in there and stinks the joint up and bleeds all over the place to make up for it like Hogan or Flair.

oh yeah, i don't blame stone cold at all. i guess if i had to place blame it would be on vince. hopefully, if 2011 moves the brand closer to a pg13 rating, stone cold could get a respectful gig.

it'd be hard because he couldn't wrestle, but i think a GREAT storyline would involve guys like rock, austin, HHH, jericho, and edge saying how attitude era is the best and guys like cena, orton, miz, sheamus, del rio, and cody rhodes saying right now is the best era ever.

it'd almost have an "invasion" type feel, should boost ratings, and if a more pg13-ish brand is what they're going for, it would be a realistic way of reintegrating edgy material.

I hate when they announce that so and so is going to call out someone.

like when HBK, Austin, or The Rock did it, it was generally at the top of the program or the top of the 10 pm hour and they just said we are gonna get things get kicked off with the rock or we are waiting on Stone Cold's arrival. It was never 'TONIGHT HBK calls out Bret Hart".

That rumor has been flying around for years. From what i have heard and collected over the years it is false.

It supposedly is a rumor that built up steam over the years and never cooled off and always somehow regains steam anytime Savage and Vince are mentioned in the same sentence.

Just my perspective on that particular rumor. I have no clue as to why vince won't induct Savage into the HOF.

I have to strongly disagree with you for honestly thinking that with the current state of the IC title that bourne wouldn't be able to hold it.

In my honest opinion if WWE was smart they would raid TNA of MCMG, Beer Money, AJ, & Christopher Daniels and rejuvenate their non-existent Tag Division.

You could then put Evan in with a guy like Kofi or Rey and have them be a Tag Team.

a 4 way tag rivalry with MCMG, Beer Money, Styles/Daniels, & Rey/Bourne or Kofi/Bourne would be friggin sweet.

And Tag Team wrestling is basically dead in WWE, and i would love to see it rejuvenated by bringing in 'fresh' faces.

Although it does sound like a fantasy, i think that they have enough money to throw around that they could lure all 6 of those guys away from TNA.

besides Kurt & Anderson, they are the only good talent in that company.

He owned The Rock last week. Decimated him. I'm the biggest Rock mark ever...even I'm not in denial about last week's RAW. Cena has more than held his own throughout this entire thing. His raps were solid, his promos even more so.

Since when did we get onto his matches? I'm talking promos. Perhaps your predisposition against Cena taints your view a bit?

I haven't watched WWE in a long time. I follow here and there, but I hadn't watched until Rock came back. So Cena hasn't been stale to me. And I was *greatly* impressed with his promo last week.

It's everything about Cena. His promos are bad, his matches are bad, his character(s) have all been bad, his in-ring work is bad.

He has muscles, marketability, and dedication. That's it. Especially someone who's been doing it this long, there should have been some sort of semblance of improvements.

You are watching sports entertainment programming. You are not watching the NWA. You are not watching ECW. You are not watching ROH. You are watching the WWE/F. This isn't anything new. Bruno and Hogan were the same way.

His promos, in ring work, and character all being bad is highly debatable. I personally disagree with you.

WWE is openly appealing to children. The same way it did in the 80's. TNA and WWE aren't my cup of tea. For the most part watching the WWE is free and easy. If you like wrestling then support good wrestling. There is tons of great stuff past and present you can watch as an alternative.

Seek out some mid 90's ECW Hardcore TV. Here are 2 DVDs with ALL the ECW TV shows leading into Barely Legal. It's not the holy grail or anything, but it's something not many people have actually watched. If you watch these and then Barely Legal, you will surely be satisfied. You don't have to love ECW, but if your a fan of good ol' grass roots professional wrestling you can't beat this.

Just finished watching Raw. Decent episode. Fast forwarded through a lot of the crap. Sin Cara's debut was awesome. I was really hoping he wouldn't botch his over the top rope entrance and become the next Shockmaster. He almost did. :lol

I was avoiding Raw spoilers until I watched it, but got bombarded by texts about Cena vs. Rock next year's WM. Like Kittens said (I think it was Kittens), this gives Rock a year to get rid of the in-ring rust, however it also probably means a whole year until we see Rock step into the ring. If I were Vince, I wouldn't let Rock step into a ring for a match until then.

On to Tough Enough notes, I thought it was a great first episode. I really like the concept and style they are going for. Much better than the original. Also like that they are moving it to before Raw. The black chick was retarded. Best match was Melina vs. Alicia Fox? Really? You could have said Stone Cold vs. <insert any other Attitude era guy>.
