in NO WAY am i passing judgement on you, but do you listen to any other music? dmb is fucking great, but there is a lot of stuff out there that blows this band out of the water. again, i'm not trying to slam you at all, i'm just curious.
shit pearl jam is probably my favorite band, but none of their discs are in my top five. but whatever, to each his own, glad you have found some music that you love :thumbsup
Agreed, Mojo... People with all-DMB up top really frighten me, as their horizons are obviously very, very limited...

Obviously it is not just a Dave album.......but the idea they are just a band that he sometimes plays with is stupid.....DAVE MATTHEWS band? Does this ring a bell as the name of some particular band?
Who wrote the majority of songs? Who is the one member you can't replace and still call it the Dave Matthews Band?

I answered the question because I figured you wouldn't know the answer, and you proved that you didn't
1) I realize I said Dave, its not really a mistake, given the explanation I gave
2) Thats funny :lol sure the Dave Matthews Band couldn't tour as the Dave Matthews band if you replaced one of the other guys, right:rolleyes

aside from the hostility going on here, has anyone noticed in the old posts how people were saying that this new dmb album may crack in their top 5 of all time. its funny, b/c people are saying now that with the new studio talk this new dmb album is going to be mind blowing (much like the pre-stand up talk). at this point, i'll believe it when i see it.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with this. This was the album that was supposed to re-establish DMB and in my opinion it failed tremendously. After three disappointing albums, I will always remain a fan but I won't expect too much until they deliver it.

your right...it is his opinion, and he is intitled to that. i am also entitled to think that his opinion is absurd. it is important to respect everyone's right to an opinion, but that doesn't mean you have to agree with all of them. i strongly disagree with and am baffled by his top 5 (or 6).
plus, this thread would get boring if it was just people listing their top 5s with no debate or controversy.
