Alright, So I am a lost sheep when it comes to understanding Live Sound. I Have a simple Kustom 200 Watt PA System(the powered mixer and 2 100 watt Speakers) It sounds Decent, But I am starting to get some pretty decent gigs around town. ANd I really want to modify my system to sound better, especially since I am starting to use a lot of different pedals.(i.e. Loop, Delay) I notice When I see other people play they have all kinds of equipment (i guess they are signal processors? or Well I really dont even know) Is there Like a site or a book that you can get to explain all this stuff.. or maybe do any of you have the time to help me out and reccomend some equipment...
Thanks alot
Matthew Cail

yeah, Usually solo, however I sometimes play with one of two different buddies of mine, so it would be nice to have a system to cater to that option.

your tone depends on so many things, from the pickups in your guitar to the types of wires in your amp. It really depends what kind of sound you want. I'd try renting some stuff you like the sound of and try it in a big spacious area to see if you get the results you want.
I'm a more of a bassist by trade though so I havent got a lot experience in guitar tones

Here at Berklee, anything by JBL is pretty damn good. I'd say go with that, and just mess with the EQ on the mixer. You might also want to get the Sansamp Preamp/DI for your guitar. That will make things a lot easier on you.

Yea, it's a very easy brand to get good sound out of quickly. Of course, it'll always sound better when you can make precise adjustments, but it'll be pretty badass no matter what you do.
