I like it! Very nice progression shown in this short clip. You think it's gonna be slow, but then it explodes in to a powerful collaboration of the entire band.
...or something like that.

This is definitely one of my favorite clips. The emotion that pours from this song could easily bring a crowd to its knees. This has got to be one of DMB's most "polished" songs musically, it shows the highest quality of their musicianship, both individually and as a band.

Damn. Best song on the album! I don't think I'm being over the top when I say it could be one of the best 'pop songs' they've written. Catchy and strong lyrics. Sounds like a song that's been around for a long time. Lovin' it.

i cant tell if this has been mentioned cuz the board keeps fuckin up, but...
does the piano and the start of the vocals remind anyone else a lot of People, People? i'm digging it. i'm digging this whole album, and i think the clips and this low quality stream of it aren't doing the album justice.
any thoughts?

wow I suspected it may be true, and after reading through this thread, it's official -- I'm the only person who doesn't like this song :lol
After one listen I think it's awful. It sounds like some REO Speedwagon ballad or something. Once it kicked up there about halfway through the song, I almost turned it off. Maybe a 2nd listen will be better...

Anyone else here think the key change about 1:30 into the song sounds just like the part in Waste where he goes "so if I'm inside your head?" That was the first thing I thought of when I heard this part. It bears a striking resemblance.

This is easily my favorite. I can't believe how much I actually like it. I got the chills the first time I heard it, like from Bartendar live. I hope this song is on a lot of the sets this summer. I bet over time this will become a classic.

I cant tell if I like this song or I dont.
Its fairly corny and goseplly and the chord progression sounds really familiar and kinda cheap but whatever, its pleasing to to the ear at the same time.

I didnt like this song at first listen, but now I cant get it out of my head. They should roll out a piano and play this song as the first encore song sometime. Cant wait to hear this on the actual cd.
Edit: I dont feel like I articulated myself very well, I am really impressed with this song and almost gives me chills when I listen to it like the first time I heard the end of Dancing Nancies on the Red Rocks cd.

I can hear some people people in it for sure......I always like people people....but this is the DMB song that will have people saying...these are the same guys that sange that song Crash a long time ago....this song is like the pivot point of the dmb "change in direction" years ago songs were dark in theme and were great songs...now dave is married with a family...and is writing happy songs...that are now great....Everyday was dave getting his feet wet now he all into the happiness...at least that's my own humble opinion

Been listening to the album a lot lately on VH1 and i just keep hitting repeat for this song - its just awesome. Perhaps the best song on the album. Not typical DMB but a truly great song, certainly one that i think will open up a load of new folks to DMB.

This is my first post, and I honestly could not think of a better song to be writing about.
I absolutely love this song. Being a huge Beatles/Paul McCartney fan, I can definitely hear the influence. Its like a combination of Hey Jude/Maybe I'm Amazed which is amazing (no pun intended).
This is the type of song that will become epic live. I would love to see Dave at the piano for this one. And that pause right before the band kicks in for the second time could be made longer live. I mean, imagine it: Dave sings this quiet note and slowly fades to silence. Everyone knows what coming, but they don't know when. Then Carter launches into that drum fill, the crowd goes nuts and Leroi tears it up with his sax. That jam at the end live could be made so much longer. Hell, I could even see it speeding up a bit into a jazz-jam then slowing back down to the songs tempo and then finishing up. I'm getting chills thinking about it. This would be a great encore, perhaps, as someone already said, a great way to close a show.
Song's like these you hear everywhere. Everyone can enjoy it; everyone can relate to it.
I can accept that people don't like it, but just imagine this song being played live with a simple white light on Dave as his sings and plays the piano.

This song is massive. It's going to be exponentially MORE massive in concert.
The comparison to HEY JUDE is dead on. I'm not even a Beatles fan in the least, but it dawned on me that the two songs are in perfect sync, so to speak.

I really like this song. Does anyone else think it reminds you of a Mark Cohen song?? He sang, "True Companion" and "Walk Through the World with Me" among other things. I am not discounting the song in any way, Mark Cohen has a great voice, I was just listening to it and trying to figure out why it sounded almost familiar.
