going to give into temptation and listen to the album on vh1. i've found hareder than i thought already to try and not listen to the songs, but i have listened to about the first minute of hello again and the beginning of lousiana bayou. i want the songs to be a surprise when i put that cd in my stereo next monday or tuesday.

I wasnt going to listen until it came out, but since vh1.com had the ENTIRE album, I had to. If it only had like 5 or 6 or heck even 13 songs, I wouldnt listen. It was all or nothing and I chose all a week early! Good album in my opinion.

I listened to the first 10 seconds of Dreamgirl, and I listen to AB but that's it. I'm waiting the last 6 days for this, although I'm surprised to see the entire album streaming like this. Never thought that would happen lol

Listened to American Baby 2 times and watched the video 2 other times, so I've heard it a total of 4 times. Avoided the leaked clips, then the other short clips, and now this! Only a week to go, we can do it! :D :thumbsup

yeah at first, when I didnt listen to American Baby, I figured it was just kind of a temporary thing. I really didnt feel the need to listen to it. After a few weeks, I still hadnt listened, and decided not t listen to the clips either. Well here I am now, and I figure I might as well go the distance.

EDIT: And it's not like we are hurting the band, I bet that more than half of the people here are still going to buy Stand Up.

i saw the original post that said vh1 had the whole album streaming and i flat ass dropped what i was doing and listened to it. i am impressed w/ most of the songs. there are couple that need to "grow" on me, but other than that...:thumbsup great new album....all i need now is the b-sides disc to really satisfy myself.

are you serious? why does it matter so much to you? I chose not to listen to anything as personal choice. I felt no need to listen to American Baby, and I have decided to get the full affect of the album on May 10th

nothing is going to change the way getting the album on that day will fee. ill admit i made a quick run through of some songs, but getting that cd and experiencing all the freshness of the new "DMB style" the day it was intended and in 5.1 surround will olny give the album justice, in no way can those low quality clips let you hear what the album should sound like. ever listen to BTCS in a small space with big speakers? thats what im waiting to do with Stand Up :) .

I here that, I guess I have to wait until may 10th to listen because for some reason I can't get vh1 to work on my computer. I have sat here for three hours redownloading windows media player and a lot of other things but it still says----connecting, locating media, acquiring license, and then ready, and I click play and it goes through the whole process again. Crazy, but it might be a sign not to listen to it, but it is eating me alive. You lucky peeps!!

That's the feeling I love about buying and opening a new cd. Soooo exciting to hear fresh music on my ears, even if after a few listens I determine it is subpar (for example: newest Lifehouse album - but it has its moments too). For me, the cohesiveness of listening to an album as it was intended is just more prefered than hearing songs early or streamed off a site. But, honestly, it's ridiculously difficult to restrain myself knowing all y'all are sooo pumped up! :D
