listen to the album version of Two Step. It's amazing...of course, but TONS of production work. That is a great example of a great live song that sounds very little like it's amazing studio track.
I think once these songs settle in a little bit longer, most people will think this is a great album. I really like it so far, and sometimes it takes me a couple listens to DMB songs to get into them.

i'm not taking a side either way, but i will say that two step was not OVERproduced. it was merely heavily produced. there is a difference. i did it was overproduced. i'm not commenting on the new material. just thought i'd clear that up a bit.

Yeah, but people are saying that these songs won't stand up live because of the production work. Two Step, even though it was heavily played before the album, shows how different a studio track can sound from live versions...whether it's road tested or straight from the studio. Too Much is another example.

Yea but the thing is, Two Step and Too Much were already good songs on the record. I think I'll speak for most of the people who think this album is overproduced and say i hope they don't play a lot of these songs on the tour. Don't get me wrong, I want to hear like 5 of them, but some I just don't plain want to hear. You can't honestly compare two step and too much to these songs. Compare these songs to "I Did It" that song was overproduced and still sounded bad live.
