I'm already starting to fall in love with these songs. I don't like Everyday so I was a little hesistant at first listen, but after listening all night most of these tunes are really quite amazing. I didn't think it would happen this fast.

I completely agree. I even recorded them onto a tape so I can play then with my portable tape recorder in the car when I go to work tomorrow. I've played Dreamgirl, Louisiana Bayou & Old Dirt Hill like 10 times each already!

I know we're allowed to make "all the threads we want," but was this one necessary?
regardless, yeah - I agree with ya. it continues to grow on me more and more. I'm really interested to see what the rest of the world will think of it.

yeah...people are starting to turn now. and listen for real, instead of just preparing for the worst.

Oh man- I am sooo hooked- I can hardly wait to get the disc...
The clips released earlier didn't come close to capturing how good these songs are.

I'll just be glad when we get a good quality version. I love these songs but I can't stand when certain instruments that I can hear get hidden by the muffled sound.

i think this is key here. I did the same thing with Everyday. I TRIED over and over again to get myself to like it. I went into it thinking I would like it, and needed to like it, and wanted to like it.
With this, I was willing to accept the fact I might dislike it, or even hate it. I was fully prepared to shelve it and continue to enjoy what i've been listening to. So with the possibility of dislike in mind while listening, I didn't feel the pressure to love it all, and actually had a very natural reaction in deciding I liked it. I liked it because it was good, not because it was DMB and I was supposed to.

100% agree. I was really REALLY worried by listening to the clips, but after a listen I'm finding myself getting pretty addicted to this album
