Where did American Baby come from....

The whole album is very influenced by Mark Batson, which kinda makes it sound hip-hopish, and poppy. Amazingly Great songs no doubt, just not a great job producing. The whole album is way to processed and fucked with. But American Baby, where did this come from? :confused To me the AB intro and AB itself sounds like it should be part of Busted Stuff, and to me is the only song on the whole album that doesnt have Mark Batson writted all over it. Is my brain flinging shit, or does anybody agree with this? :freak

i agree. i believe it was written the day after the election. they may not have got into the studio with mark yet at that point. they could have been taking a few weeks off after the VFC tour.

Hmmm, never knew that, but what Im saying is that the way it was mixed and produced doesnt sound like the rest of the album. Almost as if the band was like, dont touch this one, we want to give the fans a song reminiscent to the old sound.

This song sounds more like a Ballard collaboration than old school to me (specifically, it reminds me so much of Fool To Think).
