i dont know why, even with this gay, monotonous boot filled with monkey shit called a drum beat, but stolen away is far and beyond my favorite song on this album. i havent seen many people that like it though, and i dont even know why i like it so much.

I think this is the second best lyrical song on the album, the first being steady as we go. This is deff one of my favs of SU. :thumbsup

Its alright. I love Roi's work on this one, I just wished Dave changed up the lyrics a little bit more, it seems like he is repeating the same few lines throughout the whole song. And I think they needed to change the chorus a little bit, it sounds just like the verse for the most part.

I'll go ahead and be the oddball here.
I dont think the song is terrible, but i dont think its good either. The lyrics are awesome and Roi sounds great. But the song just seems so empty to me. Not only is carter (to my ears and personal taste) completely absent, the harmony for the "chorus" when dave sings "you stole me away" is just awkward. I dont like the way it sounds at all.
Once again, not a terrible song, but its just so repetetive, and with its sax lick and its lyrics i think it had potential to be so much more.

I like the song a lot but there's room for a nice chill sax jam that never comes.
It's like there's one too many verses where there should just be an instrumental.

I love the guitar part of this song, but I hate the way the song goes on and on and nothing happens to it...

this song is freaking sweet. after listening to it for the second time i am hooked (i listened to the whole album a few days ago but wasn't paying much attention at the time). i met a girl tonight whom i know i will probably never see again and this song hits the nail right on the head (even though in the song he does see her again). atleast i can pretend. i brought her food and coffee and cake and ice cream (i was serving her grandmother's? b-day party at the country club i work at), so the content of conversation was nothing more than "you're welcome" and "regular or decaf"? our eyes met from across the room a dozen times, but i definately do not have the nerve to hit on a girl in that environment. as dave perfectly puts it, "i see you there standing and i am afraid i might get in the way."
