It's always good to have some advice no matter who it is coming from. A fresh look on any situation never can hurt and often times people from the outside will see things that you won't simply because you are so caught up in the situation.

She and her husband just moved back up here from Tennessee. They're building a house about 20 min away, and she really just found out about him recently. She was ecstatic.

Thaddeus (his father) hasnt met him yet... he is coming up on Thanksgiving. He lives in TN also. He went through a lot of things in the past and is now getting his life back together. I hold no animosity towards him, and really can not wait.

Creativity isn't something you should control. Just let it come out, you'll write your feelings.

This is true, although I do enjoy listening to what I wrote. The applause at the end of a song is sometimes a better feeling than the performance. Making music almost always cheers me right up, but I was in such a funk yesterday evening that playing for two plus hours didn't even phase me. It actually worsened my frame of mind. When I'm making music, I get in the zone. I get real focused. Unfortunately, I went into my session yesterday in a negative frame of mind, and it carried over to when I was playing. I couldn't stop thinking about all the things that were bothering me, and these were things that are out of my reach. I have no control on these situations, yet they bothered me so much. I'm almost never like that, but I suppose we all get into a funk every now and then.

I have this friend who writes awesome stuff. Mostly positive, optimistic riffs and lyrics. Once in a while, something sad and dark would come. One day, he said to me, "I don't feel right writing this. I feel like I'm forcing it." So he made an album of songs he said came naturally. It's so damn sad and dark it scared me when I first listened to it. It was his way out. After that, he's been making pretty positive compositions, and better, they're coming naturally.
