I don't know about the invite only approach. I think it should be open to everyone, but with moderators that are tactful and firm in their no bullshit policy. Don't get me wrong - I love Ants and always will - but the reason why we're having this conversation is because there are too many people on this board that run their mouth without fear of reprisal, and rightfully so! I remember back in the day when the mods were, well... not more strict... more forceful and consistant in their policy set forth in the FAQ.

:jealous I really want to do Europe for a year or two some day. Where else are you going/have you been?I've been to Amsterdam, that was the first stop on the trip and they have amazing hash. Right now I'm in a smaller town near the Rhine River, Neuwied. It has been an amazing trip and I'm kinda missing the Internet, although some of our host houses have it. Tomorrow we go on a boat tour of the Rhine and see many castles. We go on to Leipzig, Rothenburg, and Austria. Then I leave the tour group and meet a friend in Berlin. I'll be here for two days of the World Cup. I've also sampled many different kinds of beer. :D

My weekend was pretty wild. Party at our house Friday (which is quickly becoming a Friday ritual) and we hit the beach pretty hard on Saturday. It was all all around good time :) I actually had a pretty strange run-in on the beach on Saturday with an older (30's) Italian chick. She came up to me as she was leaving, handed me a note and told me to call her. I haven't called her, yet, and I'm not sure I will. I mean really - she's 30. Don't you think that would be weird?

It's wouldn't make it mandatory, just voluntary, but studies seem to show that kids who attend preschool preform better scholasticly. Here's the catch - the funding would come from taxing individual income of $400,000 for a single person, or $800,000 for a couple. It's not much of a tax, and I'm certainly not opposed to them if the money gets used for a good cause. What better cause is there than school?! I have no problem taxing people with that much money for the overall public good. The tax wouldn't even affect 99.4% of the state's residents.

We drove down from Jersey, took about 28 hours. Now, i normally take the train down and back up because my mom is afraid of flying, therefore, the fear comes onto me.

Right now, I don't have plans to come back. But, i am considering flying...but still scared. So, i'm enjoying myself, just afraid of coming back home.

Also, i've just been thinking of my girlfriend. Thinking about how crazy am I about her and how much I want to be with her...but also thinking bout the problems that we have had lately and I dunno. Just afraid that it's not working, but believe me when I say I want it to work out

it did suck... i was gonna switch things around so i was flying into Chi to be picked up for Alpine... kinda convenient. Would've costed me an extra $30 at most... which is pretty sweet, if you ask me. Of course I was comparing it to the $100 cancellation fee. Well when plans fell through completely I had to cancel both tickets ($100 each). Which made Alpine plans less complicated... but I lost the airline money.

Don't be afraid to fly! Flying's great! Just make sure you get liquored up before the flight. You'll find it much easier to deal with turbulance and the guy with the turban on his head.

Lastly, if it's meant to happen, it's meant to happen. I don't believe in fate, but I do believe that certain things (not all things) happen for a very specific reason and there's literally nothing we can do to prevent these events. Perhaps we can prolong or delay them, but nothing can ulitimately stop them. Just try to have fun down there, don't fuck with the alligators, and watch out for the broads. You'll be fine. :)
