I'm playing guitar at a wedding for a friend of mine. She wants some slow, classical, romantic type stuff.

I have a few songs by Bartoli I'm going to play...
I'm going to play Caprice 24 by Paganini, Moonlight Sonanta by Beethoven, Classical Gas by Clapton, (I know it's not his song, but it's the version I learned), Smile by Timmie, Un Dia de Noviembre by Brouwer, and Usher Waltz by Koshkin.

So any other suggestions (and possible tabs) of any other songs that would be fitting for the occasion would be helpful.

Thank.

I recently heard a song while looking at acoustic guitar pickups on LR Baggs' site. It was called "Grand Canyon" by Dagostino Peppino. I have the powertab file of it, which sorta works ok. Its a slow song which picks up but sounds romantic in its own way.

That's not the original, but sounds pretty close to it.

You could also learn Signe by Eric Clapton as well.

Hope this helps.

I forgot about Signe, now if I can remember how to play it...

Caprice # 24 isn't exactly a wedding piece, but if you can pull it off, great!

How about Capricho Arabe' by Francisco Tarrega or a Bach prelude, the famous one from the Well Tempered Clavier, or Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring. The Pachabel Canon in D is another wedding standard.

Pachabel Canon in D is another wedding standard.
If you could get two guitars, this would sound great.
One would do the rhythm, and the other the lead part. :thumbsup

I'm doing Canon in D...I found a really good arrangement for it on the guitar that has the rythm and the lead part combined sort of....that the song they want me to play while they're walking down the isle and such.
