I don't know where else I would ask this so I will ask it here. I saw a taper taping Mike Doughty and Jem's set. Could that taper please post information on when they post Mike Doughty's set? I want it. Thanks so much.

Your best bet for finding tapes of other acts will be to look here:

http://bt.etree.org/

they will most likely not be posted in this thread.

Scott Borown, Mike Vernal, Ian White were all there. There were like 5 rigs in the 100's sections. Im sure we will see those tapes surface next week.

I Vernal taped the mike doughty show. I ran into him and he had asked what time he was playing so he could set up. I couyld be wrong though.

Just to let ya know, it is a general rule to wait at least 2 weeks to "Request" a show, however, most shows are posted well within in that time frame. But as a courtesy 2 weeks is the rule ;)

notes: I had a direct hit from a beach ball during "Time of the Season." Also, this is a *center* tape, so yes there's more crowd noise and it doesn't sound like a soundboard. Sue me! The original 24/96 copy exists in flac format.

Casey's 7-31 is by far the best recording of the year, and easily the best recording for that show. I'm not sure about 7-30 though. I like the akg source and Chris Jones' but I have only heard samples, and those are the two best in my opinion.

What does everyone think about which is the best? I have Scott Brown's right now...and there is quite a bit of crowd noise like he points out in the notes.

I've compared the Schoeps MK4, SP853, Scott's DPA, and Chris's DPA on my home stereo and personally I like Chris Jones tape the best. It's all a matter of opinion. There's no BEST source, there's only the one that sounds best to YOU and it's all subjective. Scott's tape is great too, still waiting to see how the AKG tape came out!

Scott - Thanks for the BNL set, that was great, even if you were in dead center. I am looking forward to getting home today and getting the BEP and RRFB you got from night 2, I hope people keep the seeds open tonight.

i think the tapes from that location are way too bright. just shows how it's all what YOUR EARS like and not what others say

I prefer to hear a DSBD esqu show that sounds clear and crisp like say Listener Supported than a show loaded with crowd noise.

Just my opinion

What the ---- ?

Listen up, I don't understand anything that has to do with computers. In the past 2 hours I've downloaded Limewire, Azereus, Bit torrent (which cost me $.99 a month), Bit tornado, and a copy of eXeem. Along with that I've got some windows media player, real player, dell music juke box, and winamp. Also, I've got roadrunner- probably the lowest one, money doesn't grow on trees.

Right now, I'm incapable of downloading any show, and file, anything at all. How can I go about downloading something, to something, through something???

Please, I'm pathetic. I need some help.

can someone post the jimi thing with trey. My computer is pretty slow and would take me days before it would be done. That being said, if anyone would be so gracious as to do a b&p or a trade for this show let me know. I know it's a different forum for that but I already started one subject. List at the bottom.

Here is a DTS version that was made from the 4 available sources

How do the tapers feel about this guy taking their work and manipulating it? I just started taping this year (not DMB yet) and I don't think I'd like it if my stuff was redone with being asked.

once you release your tapes out to public via torrent or whatever you pretty much have no control over it any more. if your that much of a tight ass about your tapes dont give them out, its that simple. plus the music is not yours it belongs to DMB. they just give you the right to record it.... thats my opinion :)

Did Robert Randolph play Randalls Island on 7/30 as well? And, if so, did it get taped? I've seen the 7/31 torrent, but haven't seen antyhing for 7/30. Thanks.

Oops...sorry...I meant -- did Robert Randolph open for DMB on 7/30, and did it get taped?

ya he played both nights... all the bands were the same both nights except Black Eyed Peas played before DMB N2 instead of Barenaked Ladies like N1
