Anyone know what it is? The notes? Or just the chords? Anything would be helpful.

scroll down on that page, they have the tabs for all the new songs. i didn't try steady as we go but i know that out of my hands is easy. just figure out the notes and you're set. let me know if you need anything else
I think I'm going to try to teach my cats to play Out of My Hands. Looks easy enough.

For Out Of My Hands, the minor beginning part: low A (bottom space of bass clef), "middle A" (just below middle C), low C (between those two), and low D (just above the low C). The "middle A" is played on all the upbeats, and every other down beat is one of the other notes.
The major part is basically just adds in the "middle C#" instead of the low C natural, and some of the notes are played simultaneously.
Haven't had access to a piano since the disc came out, but it's such a simple song. Hope this sounds right.
Steady's a little more tricky...

I can't wait for someone to post a good version of SAWG for piano. I checked my local record store and they said the book wasn't out yet. I can't wait to play that song.
Just give it a shot- I know you've been interested for a long time. If you play piano, you probably can pick it out by ear- it's not that complicated. If you're the first to post something, you'll be a hero to many in the community.

I've tried to pick out the chords for SAWG but no matter what, it sounds wrong. I can get the notes but not the full chords. AHHH!!!

Because it's easy to pick out the prominant note in each chord and find the main melody of the piano part, but not find the harmonizing notes of the chord.

once you know the notes, cant you just use the key to figure out the chords?

Not if they aren't regular chords. There's so many different kinds and it seems like no matter what I do, its wrong.

well you know a lot of dave chords (if you play guitar) you can experiment with those. if not i doubt he'd stray from anything simple for piano, it's not like butch is playing

SAWG? I'm pretty sure thats Butch. I don't even play guitar, I'm a drummer... percussionist I should say. I have been since the 6th grade and I'm now a junior in college. I taught myself piano and guitar but not enough to know how to play any Dave tunes.

Can someone tell me if this sounds right to them? I don't have the left hand notes, just the right. These are the chords for the part where he says "steady as we go", I think at least:
F major (F/A/C), Eb major (Eb/G/Bb), C minor (C/Eb/G), Bb major (Bb/D/F), Bb major
I know there are other notes in there that will make it sound right on, but I don't know them yet. Someone try that out.

Sorry, but those aren't the right notes.
You do have the right notes, I believe, for the fifths of those chords.
If you play just single notes to follow that run it does sound to be C, Bb, G, F, F.

Listen to SAWG and then play along with it. It sounds right on. If you play it without the recording going in the background it sounds way way off, I just figured that out. I know the fifths are right the C Bb G F F, I just can't get it to sound right WITHOUT the recording going. Try it.

its butch who plays it and he kicks ass, so therefor his voicing of chords kick ass. watch the roseland show to get the notes.
No, it's not Butch. I don't understand why people confidently spread misinformation. It's Mark Batson playing piano on the studio version of that song.

Where does it state that? I don't see that anywhere in the album book at all.

Sirius release show.
I listened to that and I dont ever recall hearing that its Baston on that track. I remember hearing that Baston played piano on OTHER tracks such as Joy Ride, but definitely not SAWG.

I like your chords, think it sounds like it should be right. The melody works well over those.
