I am writing because I am curious about the process in "Majoring in Music Studies, Performance, Theory, etc."

I would like to know, from anyone who has gone through it, what the process is like from applying, to experiencing it

I do not need anything long, cause I know some of us like to read in short...so if anyone could give input, or even if anyone just wants to ask questions too

i took a year of music theory my frosh year in college and i hated it... it was cool at first, but not at all directed to the modern music scene... i learned a lot about the basics of theory, but it didnt really help me at all with being able to understand the guitar better or even to write songs better... my luck will probably eventually run out, but now im doin fine with just feeling the music out. i would say that i had a sour experience with the whole music theory in a classroom philosophy... i plan on getting a few books and studying it myself
