They were my favorite team in the early to mid 1990's.. they days of Roenick, Chelios, Larmer, Amonte, Nicholls, and co. They were fun to watch play. Plus, I was still annoyed the the Whalers skipped town on me so I had to pick a team. I played a few times with Roenick growing up in CT so I decided to follow the team he was on!

as for the White Sox, I'll wait til their pitching comes back to earth before I post an opinion!

I still can't figure out why Guillen let Buerhle hit in the top of the 8th with runners at 1st and 3rd with 0 outs with a pitch count in the mid 90s. He obviously wasn't going to let him finish the game as he retired the first 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th only to get yanked. Seems like an obvious pinch hit situation, especially with a 1 run lead.

2 out of 3 from the Yankees aint bad at all. Last nights game and today's game remind me of playoff baseball. If they continue playing good defence I have high hopes this year.

My friends and I have tickets for the 8/20 game against the Yankees. We shall see how they fair with the next series.

They replaced Carl Everett with Jim Thome at DH.
Thome if healthy, could hit 40+ easily at the Cell. Rowand is good for 15-20. Rowand will be missed defensively, but Brian Anderson, Rowand's CF replacement, is getting all sorts of praise from scouts, saying he has potential to be just as good as Rowand in the OF, much more power and average at the plate.
