wow Kutcher, Kimmel and now Woody Harrelson. Just saw this on MFriggin. Was WH any good? Bout time they get some good guests.
Woody was on the phone and he was with Willy Nelson in Hawaii.
They both sounded completely baked and it was pure gold :lol

Woody and Willie should attend a DMB concert! :)
By the way, anyone remember the time Axl Rose and Sebastian Bach called in around 330am Los Angeles time, 630am NY time and they just got out of a party and were hammered? It was hysterical and much like Woody and Willie. Went on for a half hour. If anyone can post a link to that it'd be very much appreciated. Must of happened in early 90s.

When Howard was telling him to eat real food, of course Robin chimes in about her green drinks.

It was one of the clips played this week. Miss Howard Stern in studio drunk off her ass like usual with a country singer (Trent something) and she was singing his songs with him while he played them live and then Artie sang the line "I don't know what I did, but my girlfriend's got a half black kid" (cause she has one) and they broke into an impromptu blues jam with everyone singing that line. finished the Sarah Silverman book. It was okay. Could've been better. There were some funny moments but other times it was like she had nothing to say and was stretching stuff out. She included an email chain with her editor about why the title of the book should have "pee" in it instead of "pee pee" that went on and on and was rather stupid. She was roommates with Chloe from 24 when they were younger...who knew?:twenty4

Doing a podcast at a loss is evidence of this?
There was the whole thing that Stern played a year ago where Corolla was a guest on a show and talked about Stern. And they discussed if he was going to be a regular on the show and Corolla said "well what does the job pay. If you're going to just pay me a thousand dollars then I'm not interested. If you're talking serious money then that's different." And Stern went on and on about he wasn't sure where Adam was coming from that because he wasn't offered a job officially and is not sure what's up with the money and Adam. It's on Marksfriggin somewhere I'm sure but I vividly remember hearing the audio and Corolla just went on and on about not doing a regular thing on Stern show if the money wasn't right. Which I understand, to a degree, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. And when Corolla said "I can see if people gossip and they get paid $1000, I understand, but otherwise there's not upside to it" when he was on recently, it completely reminded me of the tiff between him and Stern a year or so ago about being lowballed coming on. I agree on the gossip thing, too by the way and find Corolla funny at times, but he's just not my cup of tea.

Who the fuck was that Omarosa bitch today? She was one of the most annoying cunts I've ever heard. Ralph was totally right, she is annoying because she thinks she's smarter than everyone else. She's not, she's just more unnecessarily sophisticated than everyone else to make up for the fact that she isn't smart at all. She kept saying that money didn't buy her happiness, her first husband was wealthy and they weren't happy, blah blah blah... yet every time someone called in to call her a cunt she said she bet they were poor or had a small dick. I thought money didn't matter... and what mature, ACTUALLY intelligent person brings penis size up in an argument about your intelligence? People don't hate on you because you're a woman or because you're black, people hate on you because you're a CUNT, you're a woman and you're black.

I know this is a small thing, but is anyone else way tired of hearing the little jingles each for Lisa G's and Langford's intros when they walk into the studio? The "has a huge penis" and "takes shits at work".
But ahh hell, I'm still bummed that they got so damn close to finally canning Benjy and he got sucked back from the brink. :p I'm absolutely convinced now that no matter what he does Howard won't fire him, he'll ultimately pussy out in the end.

Howard just cracks me up with his hypocrisy sometimes. He's so affronted at Gary's falling asleep and it's such a show of disrespect, yet Artie was doing it CONSTANTLY and Howard encouraged it (which was only really just further enabling his bad behavior) and he was a darling for it. Wake the fuck up Howard.

jackisback24
06-28-2010, 05:45 PM
I honestly, and I don't know if I'm going to convey this correctly, but I honestly think that Howard is such a wacko narcissist that he has a hard-on for the Behind the Music narrator-dude because he envisions himself being on that show, thus why that guy does the History of Howard segments. The voice-over guy is really good at what he does, and yes, Howard is very important in the history of radio, no question, but it gets silly sometimes hearing Billy West and others interviewed for bits that really even weren't good for their time. I mean, 10 years from now, will they interview Sal for some of his phony phone calls when more than often they're kinda lame?
I kinda understood what Chris Rock meant when talking about it.
I loved "Best of" when the cast members would pick their fave moments, like the time on KRock when Gary picked a segment when a psychiastrist broad called up to complain about Howard's comments on Imus, and Howard caused the woman to have a breakdown on the phone. That was really funny radio. Or when Axl and Sebastian Bach called up at 3 in the morning just getting out of a party. I miss those moments.
I can't wait until they do a week on Artie moments.

It occurred to me the other day, one positive that I'd think would come from Artie's present situation, I wouldn't be the least surprised if in the aftermath of all of this he's lost a TON of weight, that this is what it finally took. Because I could see him not really wanting to eat all that much for awhile in the wake of everything. Maybe the next time we see him he'll be back to his Beer League look, if not even thinner.

While I certainly had my issues from time to time about Artie's role in the show, I can't deny that with him being completely out of the picture now the mode of the show too often falls into basically Howard just conversing back and forth with Robin and that's all you hear and, I guess depending on the subject matter, I just am not very keen on hearing her THAT much during the show :shrug

I think I heard that. Richard Christy got some work too.
Actually then in the very next episode I think it was, I see Perez Hilton pop up (which, I can't fucking stand the fact that I even know enough to be able to recognize him). When Christopher's knocking over the benefit concert's ticket counter.

Interesting... I hardly use it anymore, but awhile back when I was on the official site a bit more often it seemed they generally had stuff up there in a timely manner, even if sumo wrestler Jason was a pretty shoddy photographer at times. That girlfriend of his must be a friggin saint, seeing the whale he's become over the last few years.
But shit, remember the time when they still hadn't even had Howardstern.com? Only the biggest radio show in the history of the world, totally in the smack of the internet age... meh, who needs an official show site? :p

Just seemed like so often in the (not so distant) past, they'd have some contest going on with 3 hotties in studio, Howard would still just be doing an intro interview with them and he'd proclaim "you can now see pictures of all 3 girls on HS.com".

Thing that cracks me up with those kind of interviews, Howard acts like he's hearing a story about wild sex for the first time in his entire life. He always sounds totally mystified by the notion that this chick was groping some other chick in the back of a taxi, or someone fucked in a phone booth, etc etc.

I just saw the pics of the girls from yesterdays show. It was pretty hilarious to hear JD go through that though, I hope they do something like that again. He picked the hottest one in my opinion, but #3 had a nice rack.

Yeah he def. picked the hottest one, aka the one completely out of his league. He should have went for the sure thing.

Well, hearing these guys talk about the chicks from the JD segment made me want to check out the website for the pics, and I saw a note somewhere on there that said Benjy was late once again, so...
But I never listen to the show live anymore, haven't since they moved, I follow it by downloading HTV episodes.

Well there's been like almost 20 episodes of the Bonus Show now (though I'm not really a fan) so you see plenty of her on there. For her being in the studio for that recent bit, my same general reaction: overall yes she's very cute, a great natural rack, but wears waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much makeup.
And Richie's a good looking guy, I can see him getting her.

And speaking of that segment, one of the things that bugs me most about Howard (and Gary often gets on him about this) if it's not something EXACTLY like Howard would do it, well then it's stupid, it doesn't make sense, "why wouldn't you do it THIS way?"
Well, because Howard, shocking as it may seem there are people different to you in this universe, with different values and whatnot, and for whatever reason choose to operate in their lives in a way that may be different to yours, and it works for them. But no, if it deviates at all from the way Howard would do it, well you're just stupid. :rolleyes

The kid who played him in the movie that won the Howard Stern Film Festival.
The kid is an aspiring (although not very good) musician and wrote in when Howard and Robin were talking about how they need to discover musical talent like Ellen.

Thanks for clearing that up, I googled the name and came up with nothing.
Sidenote: Jake told me some great stories about you two when you were working at the world wide leader.

So I downloaded the speed dating segment earlier today and will now be taking a look. But see one of the things that kinda bothers me about Howard, he'll use a thing like this and try to pass himself off as this sensitive, magnanimous guy that genuinely cares about JD and wants him to be happy and be with someone, "see, look what I'm doing for him".
Completely full of shit. You're doing it for the sake of the show, for the comedy of the show. I honestly don't know too many guys who would truly thrive in that type of setup when it's being done live on the air. I mean the whole notion of speed dating is one thing, and the pressure of having some kind of chemistry in 2 minutes with a chick you just met, but take that, and THEN do it on the radio (not to mention in the studio with like 5 other people staring at you), no fucking way. Howard says to him "What, I figured you'd love this". Gimme a fucking break. For Howard's sake I really hope he doesn't genuinely mean that, like Howard seriously believed JD would jump at this opportunity. umm.. has he met JD? :rolleyes

Haven't seen it yet but I'm guessing they cut it. I don't think they've ever been able to show an actual live performance on HTV the whole time they've been at Sirius.
Which, it's their own in-house network, right? I mean I remember back on E! episodes they showed musical performances.

Its probably because they have to pay for it and they don't have the budget for it. I doubt there are many HTV subscribers.

Bingo. They did show her singing, just not her hit songs. Other stuff.
She's very pretty and really went up in my book in the humble department. I found her well-spoken, pretty, talented and humble. I thought of her as snobby years ago, but that changed with this.
Also, if anyone wants an HTV episode to search for, look for the Marcia Brady one. She was really good.
Also saw Yucko and Artie spar and it was funny. Man I miss Artie.
