I think Howard will try to keep Takei, but remember he is 68 years old and lives in California. It would take a serious commitment to move to NY and get up at 4 in the morning everyday. Hopefully we will get him as a one week guest every two months or so.

He's one of the funniest guest i've ever heard on the show. When he was on one time talking about his book and how much of an ass shattner is, i laughed all the way to work.

Howard had three listeners in the studio on Monday for a contest to see who could guess who the revelations belonged to. The fan with the most correct matches won $10,000. In the event that there was a tie between the contestants, which there was, they went to a tie breaker question. The tie breakers were revelations that weren't "Good" enough to be originally used.

I don't listen to the show, but I heard today that sirius is creating a set of standards for the show, and will "air" his show on a delay to filter out any "language" they feel is innapropriate. So whats the point? Isn't this move to satellite supposed to free all those things up, because it isn't regulated by "Standards". Personally If I was paying for satellite radio, I would be pissed.

Definitely invest in Sirius. The Stern show hasn't been funnier. Everyone has stepped it up a noch and a half. Artie's stories are so great now that he isn't sensored. You won't be dissapointed.

She's been such a sycophant of his the whole time they've been behind the mic it's sickening.

I agree with everything you've said. The show has suffered because there really isn't any tension in the room (anymore.) It's a Howard Stern lovefest. Stuttering John could be annoying but at least he'd question Howard. Especially Howard's "love" for Beth. Artie parties harder and is actually funnier than Jackie but he's a kiss ass. Jackie was a total scumbag and that made the show great. It's not as good a show without him. That being said I haven't gotten Sirius yet, I'm thinking in March because I do miss it.

Those who listen to Opie and Anthony, that's the minor leagues. They are mildly amusing but in no way can they ever be compared with Howard.

Having Takei in there during the initial was absolutely priceless, I always loved it when they'd have him as a guest in the past. I only wish Billy West (aka 'George Jr') could've been there too :D He seemed so quickly at home among the rest of the group, like he'd been there for awhile and was so open about everything in his life. Though I seriously couldn't believe that Takei didn't realize that wasn't the real Arnold on the phone call. Because I'm sitting there listening a few minutes into it, and I'm amazed at the questions Takei's asking, he was so serious about the political stuff, and in my head I'm like "George, why are you bothering to go there? It's all just a joke", and they revealed after that he believed it was truly Arnold, that was a goddamned riot. But I mean c'mon, hearing the way he was referring to gays and women and Jews or whatever -- and you'd imagine that a Governor would for real talk that way in public?? :D

I DL'd yesterday's show with Kendra Jane though haven't listened to it yet, I'm looking forward to it. Admittedly I've got a bit of a crush on her, I've always like her being in there for an interview, and I read about how out of it she was and couldn't really get the sybian going so that should be interesting. Now hearing about Jenna, I'm gonna have to find out what date that was so I can go back and hear that one as well.

I agree and that is what I love about satellite radio. Even if I am not digging what Stern is doing while he is on, I flick over to a station. Right now, my favorties are Left of Center(26) and Shade 45. They seem to play all of the good rap music and cut out the crap.

Also, listen to Monday Night Mashup(I believe 10-12 EST) on Shade 45 on Mondays. It is all mashups of rock and rap.

I also have been listening to that 1st wave station and the 60s vibrations. I dig Jam_On but it isn't one my favorites. I wish they had a schedule where they played an entire Phish show or an entire Dead show or something instead of mixing it up. I know they have that one hour Phish block but it always seems too short.

ALSO, when talking about Jam_On, I wish they told you on the screen what date the performance was from when playing a live track.

I'd probably be a lot more upset if I wasn't so easily able to keep up with the real good stuff by DLing the choice video segments ripped from the On Demand channel (the collection of which I eventually plan to author one massive special <likely> 20+ DVD set). I mean in reality I can just as easily then go and DL the audio of everyday's Sirius show, but without having a portable mp3 player, I'd have to be sitting at my computer to hear the entire thing, which I never did hear the whole 5 hours show on any given day anyway, in that way it's too much work. So I just end up occasionally DLing one full show and listen to most of it over a few days.

Now admittedly I'm not a Sirius subscriber, but I DL torrents of some of the videos from Howard TV, and by watching them is how I end up keep aware of the amount of show that I do (I enjoy watching even just the group banter-only episodes). So now, I didn't see or hear everything that went down on the original day that the pornstar Lexi Bardot was in for the game, but I did a day or two ago now see the episode where, among other segments, they showed where Howard was really pissed at this chick and the "winner" of the game even called in to expose this skank for hosing the show in the way she did.

So to the intern -- I'm just curious, has anything since else happened with this? I just got back from the Skating With The Tards shoot. What a shitshow! I busted my ass at least 4 times and I'm pretty sure one of them will be on the show. Doug took a huge spill before we started filming but my camera wasn't on and I don't think anyone else was on him. Eddie the Produce Guy took a BIG hit right into the boards and could barely walk afterwards. Fun day, but damn, I can't believe its only 11! I've been up since 4.

The studio was a mess too. The Fab Faux were there performing so they had their entire road crew with them and believe it or not, the studio isn't that big at all. I'm 6'5'' 250, so I don't exactly fit into tight spaces. So during the break, what happens? Hey Steve -- I'm curious, have you met or worked closely around with Scott DePace yet? Frankly there's an overwhelming opinion going on at the Stern Fan Network that part of his conservatism is that he's basically a closeted homosexual. That it's like pulling fucking teeth for them to know how best to shoot a naked chick in the studio, you're luckly if you get one fleeting half-second shot of a bare cooter, and yet there's absolutely NO SHORTAGE of Richard & Sal's (and whomever else, god forbid) naked cocks flapping around in the wind, some of the closeups their limpy dicks get makes most gay porn look like a Disney film. I actually work with Scott every Monday in the control room and then on every shoot I go on. I would be really surprised if he's a closet gay. When he's not doing anything (which is usually a majority of the time) he's looking at porn, usually lesbians. There's also porn hanging around his computer.

I was with him on the Naked Basketball shoot and he didn't seem to be too picky with how things were shot. I know in the studio he gets cunty when girls are on the Sybian because he wants it to be the perfect shot. Also, Howard TV has legal restraints. They can't show TOO much pussy and when they do it can't be like zoomed in shot. They can show a clit ring for a second or two but anymore than that and I think there's legal problems.

junior, Doug is actually right. Its so odd you brought this up because just today I was in an edit room with one of the editors, producers and two legal guys from inDemand. They were watching the tape of KB getting some from Nicole Sheridan and they had to actually cut out alot of her reaching up his pants and whatnot. Hey Steve, I had a couple more questions for you related to more behind
the scenes stuff of the show, but if you can't/won't answer them either
because simply you personally don't feel comfortable talking about it
and/or there's some kind of understood "code" among employees that you
only talk so much to the outside world about how things are in the back
offices, then believe me I COMPLETELY understand. You answer only as much as you're okay with, and even if that's nothing from here, fine, I'll be
on my merry way with no hard feelings.

For one thing, I can't imagine there's any more than 10% of the audience
(& that's being very kind) that actually LIKES Ralph. I mean it's practically cliche at this point to call him out for the idiotic douchebag that he is. But I just saw the episode where he called in wanting to talk about his 3 weeks to LA and Doug got pissed and stuff. I mean I guess I'm just wondering, is he really NOT respected around the show as much as I think he is? He just seems the epitome of a leech, and this whole LA thing is such bullshit. Hell he literally said on the phone that part of it was him wanting to simply relax and hang out. So Howard's exactly right, he wants a paid vacation. I mean in the film world (something in which I've done my share of work), especially when you're on a show that'll have a big budget with which to shoot and complicated locations, etc, that kinda thing is EXACTLY the reason you must have extensive and carefully planned pre-production. You do as much leg work as humanly possible before a single frame of film is shot, so that when real shooting comes you can go as seamless as possible from one set up to the next, not wasting everyone's time figuring out what you need to do on the fly.

And this philosophy could apply direct to what Ralph's trying to do. If his job with Howard really means a lot to him (which it should, outside pretty much a 3rd string quarterback in the NFL, he's got the best fucking job in the world) he would make as many calls and whatever else while he's still in NY and set things up so that he could knock out as many of these "meetings" he supposedly has in as short a time possible, do multiple in one day. Just what a tool this guy is. And please, I can't imagine there's ANYONE who doesn't realize that it's no coincidence he looks as much like Howard as he does. I'm sure he studies photos of Howard's hair everyday to try and make it exactly like his. :lol

secondly, I know this may be like the #1 thing joked about on the show in
general, but I'm thinking all kidding aside, both Richard & Sal (or at
the very least Richard) absolutely have REAL gay tendencies. I mean I'm
thinking Richard is very likely bisexual, since I'm sure he likes sex
with girls, but I'm sorry there's NO truly exclusively straight man who
would do all the stuff that he does SOLELY for the benefit of making the
show funnier. I mean hell, when he made that admission that the thing he
likes most in pornos are when the guy blows a huge load and you see it
all (& then Artie dropping in the great line, "So wait a minute -- your
favorite pornstar is A GUY??"), I mean jesus the guy is gay, that simple.

My last question is much more broad. I know there's a lot made on the
show in general of this sort of "every man for himself" mentality on-air,
like where you'd maybe automatically assume that it's this one giant
happy family because they've been together so long and they're so
successful, but of course a lot of the great banter that happens on the
show comes out of how very brutal everyone can be with each other, and
seemingly not showing each other a lot of genuine support with one
another personally or stuff like that (I hope I'm explaining this well).
So basically what I've been thinking for awhile now is wondering how much
of that is played up for comedy on the air, or if it's your assessment
that it REALLY IS like that. And mind you not to say like everyone hate's
each other or anything, but, well, I'd imagine several other fans would
understand what I'm getting at, the degree to which it goes of how they
rag on each other.

The more time passes and the more that stuff goes down, the LESS AND LESS sympathy I'm feeling for Artie. He's got such a shitty attitude anymore when they've got hot women in the studio. Like I've probably said before I never catch the actual audio of the show, I just DL all of the episodes that I can and get my material from watching them, well I've most recently caught up with the Heather Vandeven/Justine Joli one and the one where Hilary Scott came in. Jesus christ the whole thing with the Pets and what Artie "would get" if he got their "question" correct, he kept saying about wanting to fuck them and it's like he wouldn't let it go. For one of the very few times with listening to him it's like it went beyond just a joke. And you could tell Justine Joli was obviously getting a little turned off by his behavior (& pretty much rightly so) just for example when she kept saying "hey, ya know, we do have names...", etc. He just kept wanting all this real leechy shit and he wasn't kidding.

Then of course wanting Hilary Scott basically to be just like his little whore (& no matter for how much money) and he got all superior when she turned him down. Interesting perspective! I became a fan of the show after Jackie left, so Artie's voice sounds more comfortable to me than when I listen to older shows, but in a way, I agree with you. He's completely irresponsible, and that isn't cool. I realize that his problems make for good radio, but I see him jumping ship in less than a year for some other gig (that will undoubtedly bomb), unfortunately.

I mean yea there's the part in the Hilary Scott episode where they show the in-studio footage when the show went on a commercial break and you see Artie come over to hug her and say he was "only kidding", but then AFTER that mind you is when Greg hits her up in the hallway for the post-interview and she was reacting like in the studio, and not just playing it off like it was all just a radio gag, and then finally the little speech Artie gives right to the camera even later like I said before, hey obviously I can't say for sure, but I'd have a hard time believing that was just more schtick just for the HTV episode, he really seemed momentarily pissed off and like on some high horse over her about it all. That's especialy what really turned my nose.

The thing I'll say that does definitely still crack me up about Artie though, so putting aside all the other stuff I brought up before for a minute... I did actually used to think he was being honest when it came to this, but then when you start remarking that umm... practically EVERY attractive woman that comes into the studio (especially when they remove some degree of clothing) is "maybe the hottest girl we've ever had in here"... it's starting to lose its luster :p And hell some he comes right out with it and says she's "definitely" the hottest ever.

I mean shit, I just got the one episode yesterday of the girl Jennifer that was in to play Win Fred's Money and so had to get topless, now sure it's not like the girl was unnattractive, she was cute and all, but for petessake Artie saying she was "within the top 5 percentile of the hottest girls we've ever had on the show" -- well I think all that excess fat is starting to build up in his skull and maybe affect his retinas or something :lol
Granted I realize all beauty and attraction is subjective anyway, but seriously, any other fans who saw this girl and know what I'm talking about here? She was NOWHERE NEAR that bracket. Fuck, ALL the girls they've had in there, or even just counting naked ones, think of that total and so then just the top 5%. No fuckin' way :p

1. Was I wrong? You never saw an actual ball lick. In fact if you freeze it in the right frame, you'll see Richard is licking Sal's knuckle. (Thats the Sal/Richard info I talked about on the last page).

2. Andy Dick Roast is up. At the beggining when Shuli is getting interviewed you can see me walk through the main door with my blue shirt and Yankees hat on.

3. I have no idea. Some cable companies are really fucking up and it's making Howard TV look bad. Try this: unplug your cable box, plug it back in, let the whole thing re-boot (you won't lose any recorded shows or preferences), wait about 15 minutes, then check Howard TV again. Everything should be there.

When Artie called H a pelican that was the funniest line ever. But I got to say this Robin is a fucking Cunt. 6:01 am shes like "good morning jerk" referring to Artie on the wrap up show. Right away looking to through Art under the bus. Shes an asshole and I think she genuinely dislikes Art. F-her.

Artie makes 5 digits a show. I highly doubt Corolla is making that. Not to mention the exposure he would get. He's making and writing movies, what better promotion could he get than mentioning it at the end of the Howard Stern show to 6 million people? Look at where Artie's career went since he joined. ANYONE would be foolish to turn that sidekick job down unless their career is winding down and they don't care about money and promotion.

Corolla has a morning show in the top (or one of the top) radio market in the country. I bet he makes bank. And I love Stern and all, but there's no way he has 6 million listeners.

Although I dunno, this sounds pretty damn big, I usually don't bother to DL the mp3 of the show and just check everything out in the videos, but I may have to go ahead and grab the audio only so I can know exactly what the hell happened :D

And so obviously having heard none of what officially went down yet, I will say that I've never been too crazy about Robin (granted I've only really listened with the regularity I have since about 2000), she ALWAYS seems to have her lips surgically fused onto Howard's ass. :rolleyes
