I hope the play when Bubba came in and shocked Sal's and Richard's balls. That was the funniest thing I'd ever heard.
Am I the only one that simply doesn't like Bubba? And it's not even something I can necessarily put my finger on, and mind you I don't hold him anywhere near in the same regard as I do douchebag Ralph, but Bubba's just always rubbed me the wrong way, he seems like an egotistical blowhard. And that baldie producer partner of his always gets SO defensive anytime someone says the tiniest thing against their show, it seems.

I think Bubba is pretty cool but I'm not a huge fan of his show...
As for Ralph, I love him!

Hmm, I guess Howard wanted the exclusive. I thought for sure he was in rehab but if he's actually going to be on the show on Monday. I have a hard time believing he's going to rehab.

He's real hit or miss for me. I think the show can be pretty good for the most part but there are times when he tries to sell his shit too much, Bubbapolooza tickets, and he can talk about redneck shit too much as well (Nascar, etc.).

can't stand him either.
I think I may be partial because he's always talking about things going on in Tampa/Orlando area, which can be entertaining for me. I guess if I lived in NYC, I would have serious trouble finding some of the things they talk about entertaining.
I actually really like the producer, Brent, he definitly gets defensive over the show but the dude knows his shit about politics and whatnot.
CrashDMB237
08-06-2008, 09:19 AM
Bubba, Brent and Spice were all cool dudes when they came up to NYC while I interned. I'm kinda impartial to their show, but at least they aren't douchebags.
Edit: And Heather is SMOKIN.

I'm really surprised to hear this. I mean, I'm definitely glad he did, just wonder what made him finally decide to after all this time.
Anyway, man Richard never ceases to amaze me. I'm just watching the segment where they're talking about the horror movie guy making a mold of Richard's cock. I just love his excuses, "It's not my fault, I get asked to do this stuff!" Yea, to which you can then say NO, you ridiculous closet case. Just admit it already :lol Of course I don't care if he's gay, I just wanna see him finally come clean about it.

Just got this off of SFN
sal presented a "theory" of his comprised of several elements. He said beth was marrying howard because of his money and success, howards highest priority in life, even higher than Beth was the show. and as such, subconciously howard invited sal because he knows sal will do something crazy at the wedding that would be could content for the show.

I listened for it but didn't catch anything. No one on the show really cares for DMB so I'm not surprised.
nkc8246
08-21-2008, 04:07 PM
Howard talked about him near the end of the show during Robin's news. He didn't really say anything about his feelings on Roi...He brought it up because Larry King read a story on CNN when it happened and Larry completely screwed it up.
Larry first said Roi was 66 instead of 46...then Larry said that Roi was in an a....tv accident (like a television) instead of ATV.
So Howard was actually busting on Larry King...it just so happened to be a story about Roi

Oh I don't know about that. We know Howard is no fan of Dave's and would probably try to verbally destroy him and the band.
I don't think Dave would take kindly to that. Maybe at first, but I think howard and co. would keep prodding him and he'd just become annoyed.
Also, Howard probably wouldn't want him on the show anyway.

I think it's the other way around. With all the success Dave has had, what could possibly be gained by going on Stern.
I find it hard to believe that Howard wouldn't want the lead singer of one of the biggest bands in America on his show.
hbktonyb

Howard would no doubt want him on the show. Dave's been on the road for how many years, he would have a ton of questions. And I don't think for a second Howard would verbally destroy dave or the band. He's mentioned before that he doesn't know his music and he's not the biggest fan of this type of music, but he would respect him if he came in the stuido. And after the interview, he would become a fan of his.

New torrents for Howard TV have been very few and far between lately (on open sites, anyway) so I haven't been keeping up with the show too good at all -- they've had not too many, if at all, Sybian rides over the last few months, haven't they?
Now maybe that's somewhat by design, I don't know, I have heard plenty of fans talk about it getting to be old even well before now. But I think it's always pretty much been a thing that's much better geared for HTV, I probably would rarely see the appeal looking at it strictly from the radio side.

I'm biased b/c I love Chris Russo, but I thought that interview was awesome. It was great hearing Mad Dog curse, talk about masturbation, etc...
Finally have a good show to listen to in the afternoon! I want them to add it to their internet radio.
I'm in the same boat, I've always been a fan and I thought he was terrific. Hearing him cuss was amazing.
Said it before, I'll say it again...I'm stoked the Mad Dog is on Sirius, definite upgrade.

I wish Brad Garrett would answer one fucking question, his schtick is getting old.
They actually bothered to have him on again? Good lord :rolleyes
I've found over the years I really don't like Brad Garrett at all. In my view from what I ever saw from Raymond was that he basically played a retarded Herman Munster. His Fox sitcom looked painfully bad from the first TV spot I saw a couple years ago (though the girl that played the young neighbor wife was impossibly hot).
Just seems like one of those guys who tries too hard to be funny. He's annoying.

What makes you say that? I am a Stern loyalist and clearly Howard has an internal switch where people get paid what their worth when the money is coming from the wallet. Sorry, the fact he wants to put Riley Martin on the air but claims the $500 is enough when you consider everything else shows he will not bend over to pay others.
If I had to guess:
Robin: $2 million(she shares the same agent as Howard)
Artie: $1 million(they said this in the past year...something about if Artie is happy with what he gets and Artie said I get a million)
Fred: $500k(yes, that much less than Artie)

i don't know if you heard one day when they were talking about if they had enough saved up to retire that day and howard, artie, robin, and gary said they did but they were all really surprised when fred said no. that made me think he made more than 500k but that's just me. plus i think he's worth more than that and i think howard knows how important he is to the show.

Also speaking of the Norm interview, not actually having Sirius I didn't listen to the original audio of the segment, but I'm assuming that Howard really did hit the dump button on when Norm said aloud the name of the bookie in his and Artie's old gambling story that was told toward the very end. Just FYI, for HTV the audio was there just like normal, you heard Norm say the name "Fran", I think it was.

Well if there's one thing I learned about Howard while I was there it's that you can change his mind in a heartbeat. He went from I'll never ever be tied down again, to having a girlfriend, to being engaged. McCain to Obama. Palin to Biden. That is seriously weak. Sometimes their programming guys are so lazy. Is it that hard to give us another 'best of sirius' episode? How about Gary being bored in vegas, replay that!

That is what I was speculating myself...especially since it came up in reply to terrestrial radio media outlets still trying to discredit him...
It was like he had a "You ain't seen nothing yet" type attitude!
That can only be a good thing for us as fans!!
