There's obviously a bunch of people who know tabs, but what about chords? could somebody help me out getting me the chords to #34? i don't have that book, and i would rather not buy it. also, if somebody is nice enough to open the book and type out the chords, could you do me one more favor and list Satellite's chords too?
Thanks in advance,
mz

you see you can't really put chords to Dave's music. You "can" but it is hard. If you don't know how to read tabs, I can explain it.
Dave does so much muting, picking, and rhythm that you can't really put them to chords....and he has his own set of chords too, so...

am i missing something on that tab site? once again, all i'm finding are guitar tabs, not the chords for the songs (don't know how to read tabs or play guitar - one day).
and yes, i've tried to search but haven't had the time to like i should. all my searches end up giving me (surprise) more tabs, and the option to buy the books.

i must have posted right when you did...
i have the book for crash, and i've been able to do a decent job on the songs i've tried just by staying in key and following the chord changes.
do you have some quick lesson where i can sort of transpose the tabs to chords (or point me in the right direction)? i'll keep reading that dmbtabs.com site too.

what song are you looking for exactly? that would help a ton. i mean some songs you just CANT use chords man. like OSW, satellite, etc. dave's ass style is kinda what sets him apart. let me know how i can help.

I did an ultimate guitar search and here is what I got. http://ultimate-guitar.com/search.php3?ss=Dave%20Matthews%20Band&location=bands&order=chords
But beware, playing the chords they give won't sound near as good as playing the tabs versions. Learning tabs are simple...Like I said, I can explain it.
As for some chords - this website has a ton of them. Click the chord, it will give you a picture and show you where to put your fingers. http://www.christianguitar.org/chords.php
