You Never Know - Dave
Comfortable - John Mayer (sorry but it's a panty dropper)
Here Comes the Sun - Beatles
Stay or Leave - Dave (There's a standard way too)

I'll give you more as I think of them. Have fun with it. I usually just jam off on my own with the capo. You get some sweet sounds on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th frets. Have fun with it.

Good Good Time is the only song Dave actually uses a capo for. Stay or Leave, YNK, are played in raised B.

Capos are cool.

I would have to tune the low E to a C for that :p

And no, you can't, cause it uses an E chord in the chorus.

i saw it on snl, he capoed

for mine you tune the e-->d the flip the capo upside down and put it on the bottom 5 strings so it doesnt hit the top one

I always play Satellite with a capo. It's certainly not required but makes some of the chorus easier.

Speaking of capos, any of you seen those half capos or whatever theyre called? Theyre like a capo but only cover 3 strings, not all 6. Ive seen them and Im sort of tempted to get one but I have no idea what theyre used for.

I'll look for that video, sounds interesting.

And my capo isn't like that, it's one you put around the fretboard, it covers all strings.

Only picks, never capos. I lose a pick after like 10 uses.

TheRealGuyute
09-22-2006, 03:53 AM
See, the solution to losing picks and capos is to buy ones that cost enough that you'll keep your eye on them.

Capos - Elliott or G7th

Picks - real tortoise or Tortis

Believe me, you'll never lose them :D

Comfortable - John Mayer (sorry but it's a panty dropper)

yeah it is. :lol

also, 3x5 is another good Mayer/capo tune...Stay or Leave is great, Brian Wilson, by Barenaked Ladies, Walk on the Ocean, by Toad the Wet Sprocket, & Mommy's Gone by Stephen Lynch.

All I'm saying is you CAN play them with a capo if you want to...you dont have to play it like Dave does. And since the OP was asking for songs that use a capo...those would be fine if he wanted to play along with them with a capo.

SOL on 2nd?

7th makes sense...or not capo makes sense, but I've never seen a tab for 2nd fret.
