I just restrung my guitar about a week ago with D'Addario Phosphor Bronze (EJ15) strings and the sound is very poor. The overall sound is tinny, almost toy-like and the strings often buzz or rattle making an unplesent sound. Does anyone have any suggestions on some new strings to buy that qill give me a more deep, fuller sounding string without spending an arm and a leg. Thanks.
Also, I know that there are at least two diffrent (typical) accousic strings, phosphor bronze and another type, could some one just give me a rough overview of the differences between these types of strings?

I like Curt Mangan fusion matched strings. Relatively cheap, and they dont get that tinny sound.

:lol I am sorry, but irony. I started using Dean Markley alchemy acoustics and I think they are great. i used to use D'darrio EXP's and they are also really good.

I was referring to something that occurred before you joined. Sigs were getting out of hand and the admins asked that people keep them short or they were going away forever. I thought it was amusing that you want to be a mod but have quite a long signature.

enlighten you as to why topping a months-old, dead thread that's about something that's already being talked about in more than one topped thread, is a bad idea? you can't figure that one out on your own?

You problem isn't the brand or type of string you are using....it is the guage.
I put heavier strings on my Electric than you are putting on your acoustic....and that is wrong/weak.
Put some Daddario Phospher Bronze .13 guague strings (medium) on you guitar and report back with a much improved sound.
Daddario Phospher Bronze are GREAT sounding strings, not the longest lasting maybe...but they sound fantastic....I use them all the time on my Taylor 814 (which is what they used to ship with, until they made the move to Elixers for "shelf" life purposes)
