I bought a guitar about 8 or 9months ago and it was working great untill last week. Recently It has been buzzing really bad unless it is turned up all the way. I should know why this happens but i don't remember. Something with the neck or something. Do I need to adjust the neck. There is a little allen wrench thing at the base of the bridge inside the guitar. Do you do something with that?Could someone help me with this. Its a washburn and was like 500$

Thanks.

Well, the weather can do this. Acoustic guitars need to be stored in a warm, humid place. This is why when you go to guitar stores they have a seperate room-most of the time.

The neck probably needs to be re-adjusted. Now, I don't advise you fuck with that. You can more than likely take it into your local guitar store and ask them to help you out. Some of my friends do it themselves, but I wouldn't want ot risk it.

Also I hear putting your guitar in unusal tunings may put alot of strain on the neck and
cause this also.

But the main thing is make sure as to not keep your guitar near real cold places. ex: windows, outside doors, you get the idea.

To my knowledge, this doesn't happen with electric guitars, so if this is the case, then I dont know if any of that info helps. I'm an acoustic player

If, by "turned all the way up," you mean plugged in, then the battery is probably dead. If not, then read the other buzz and neck related threads.

that happened on my first guitar....hold the neck up to your eye and check the distance between the fretboard and the strings all the way down by the first fret. If the string is too close youll get a bad buzzing sound

Nicely done! Now replace the battery. If that doesn't work, replace your guitar cable.
