Hey everybody,
I, like so many people, love music and am an aspiring musician. I have a few songs that I put up on a website for people to listen to. The website is www.purevolume.com/christianseith If you get a chance to take a listen, by all means let me know what you think and please don't hesitate to as honest as you please! If you'd be so kind, you can either leave any comments on this thread or you can leave them by e-mail christian_seith@hotmail.com I'm always game for feedback (I prefer that it be contructive, but say what you feel you must) so if you'd be so kind, I'd appreciate any time that you might have to do so! Thanks so much!!!!

I enjoyed it my man. Solid, solid guitar work.

I liked your voice too. It is unique. Not that typical cliche, 23 year old sound.

My only advice would be go for a little more range. You have a slick voice, but you sing a lot of the song in kind of a monotone. You may be going for that, and that's cool. But if you went a little falsetto, or just mixed it up a little, I think it would make your music more interesting.

I don't know if you know who Mack Powell is from Third Day, but you sound like him.

All in all, thumbs up. Try to get a little more diversity and I think you got something good.

New recordings certainly are the plan! I'll post 'em when I do!

I'm also just hoping to keep this thread topical so I can get as many people as possible to see it and hopefully input from everybody who does check it out!

Again, thank very much for your input Royce!

Hey all,
Well, I am totally excited to tell you that I did in fact find a place to play. :D To those of you who might be interested, I'll be playing my guitar and singing some original songs and covers the Saturday night of that DMB @ MSG weekend (December 10th) at the place listed below:

Stain
766 grand street
brooklyn, ny 11211
(L train to Grand st. station,
1 block west)
http://www.stainbar.com/index.html

I start playing there at 10 pm and will probably play for about two and a half hours or so. So if there is time, you might be able to come check out part of my set after MSG, or for those whom aren't making it to the MSG show at all can come to the begining! It would be awesome to meet some fellow Dave heads there (and maybe..hopefully gain a few new friends and fans), and to hear about N2 after the fact. So if you can make it out, It'll be great, otherwise and hopefully some other time! Oh and don't worry, there won't be any cover!

Hey everybody,
I just wanted to thank everybody that did get a chance to come check out my show on Saturday (12/10) at "The Stain Bar" in Brooklyn, NY, even though you did miss a legendary show at MSG but even for those of you who did drop by after the show, I really appreciate it! It was so cool to get a chance to play for ya'll and meet and hang out with ya'll. Thanks most of all to those who threw in $5 to my starving artist fund and bought my cd. :D :thumbsup I really appreciate ya'll making this DC native feel so at home and welcome in the greatest city in the world. That made the trip up I-95 totally worth it, and I certainly hope that I get the chance to do it again! Even if you didn't happen to make it out to "Stain" in Brooklyn this past weekend, please check what I'm all about on my website:

www.purevolume.com/christianseith

If you aren't a NYC native, I hope that I can come play in your town and meet and hang out with ya', it would be a real pleasure! :multi For any plans of that, you can check my website out for that too!

I hope to see to see ya'll out on the road!

Hello Friend,
I'm happy to annonce that I have posted a new song onto my website :multi (www.purevolume.com/christianseith ) for you to check out and download if you'd like. It's an instrumental track that I had been struggling to find a title for, I guess that is because there are no lyrics to really summarize it or give it a feel or flavor that quite suits it with a title. So fittlingly, I called it "Untitled" on my cd but for the site I have titled the song "Aspirations" because I have been looking, hoping, and longing for a good while to put lyrics and a melody to it. Maybe sometime in the future, I'll update the song with elements that will make it feel complete to me, but for now, I hope that you enjoy it! Oh, and by all means, feel free to comment as freely as you please. Suggestions are always welcome and while I would prefer those comments to be construcitve, I don't mind hearing what you may have to say :)

As always, please keep checking back to my website for updates on news, songs, and showdates, and thanks again for checking out the site!

Hey, I just wanted to post some coverage that I was given in the paper a little while ago. Here are the links:

http://www.montgomerycollege.edu/advocate/

*That is the link that goes to the paper's main page and I am in Volume 9, Issue 6

But if you don't feel like making one more stop, here is the link that will take you directly to the PDF of the paper, and I am on the front page cover, but the article is on page 7! Here is that link:

I hope that you enjoy reading it, I know I did and thanks again for checking out my Purevolume site!

So I've heard from a few of you that were so cool to try and check out that article that the PDF file crashed their system. If this happened to you, I'm really sorry very about this. I had no idea that would happen because I have not yet run into this problem on my own. So if that is a problem for the PDF link (the second one), I guess that you can just go to the first link that then open up the Volume 6 link to the paper. I hope that the crashing doesn't happen if you hit the Volume 6 link on the actual newspaper website. If it does, I am sorry but I thank you for trying to check it out! I hope that you keep checking out my website for other things...that I assure you will not crash your system!

Hey ive been playing guitar for about a year. I was jujst curoius how you recorded those songs?

I was actually really lucky with my recording because my friend had a digital recording program on his laptop along with a condenser mic and and a 4 channel interface that we could connect the equipment into his computer. He was also just learning about recording in general so it was somewhat of a learning process as we went. The best part about it was that he was kind enough to do it all for free. It's not a professional recording, but he did an amazing job the only downfalls about it were my skill level at that time...not that I think it was poorly done, but there are obviously things that I hear and think to myself..."man I wish I could rerecord that" but I think all musicians feel that way.

You could spend money to have your stuff recorded, and the results on that can vary or if you have friend that would do it. Like I said, I was really lucky in having the opportunitty to do so. What you could do, what I've been looking to do, is buy a hand held mini-disc player/recorder and plug it into the mixer where ever you play, open mics, parties, or your room and then post those Mp3's to a website, but I believe that you'd need a digital recording program for your computer that you could edit it in. There are some programs that you can download the sampler edition of it off the website of the company that makes it. I'm not sure if they still offer it, but I know that you can probably get a hold of "COOL EDIT" from the web. I'm sure there is a simpler way to go about it, but I'm not totally sure of it! Anyhow, good luck with finding a way to record your material and let me know when you're finished, becuase I would love to hear what you got! Take care bro'!
