I have been playing for a year now and i would like to start playing in front of poeple, but since i never have i dont know if i am good enough to. Basically let me know if you like it or if your ears bleed. I just hit record a played, the mis hots are likely to happen if i play a complete song, so let me know if i need more practice before anyone hears it. Thanks a lot

I like the sound of your guitar. What kind is it?

As far as critquing, are you purposely changing the tempo during the verse? If not then you are going too fast or too slow on parts. It sounds like you're going off beat a little bit. For having only played for a year, it sounds pretty good. Keep up the good work.

Its actually a Bree Love, i played a ton of guitars when i was buying it and for the price ($600) it was the best deal. It has a solid top and back and a fishman 4 pickup.

Nice tone. You're too quick on parts of it. Especially some of the runs. Try playing along to the song a few times and do a less nervous take of it. It sounds like you are speeding up and slowing down.

My tempo may be off too, but this is the difference I hear (the first bit is what yours sounds like to me compared to what I think it should sound a little more like -- keep in mind I kept the tempo slow): http://s52.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2GP7KPUSWH4701HPJ8ZE5F4WC1 Someone tell me if I'm off. I think it would help if you keep your right hand looser. Now I may be wrong, so someone let me know if I am. :)

It sounds like you got a good deal. That guitar sounds really good. I am off for the night but I will check your origingal tomorrow.

Nice guitar work on the original, and your recording quality is pretty good once again. You sound a LOT more comfortable playing your original than covering. I can relate.

Needs words, but it's a pleasant start.

Your original is definitly cool! Just keep playing around with it and see what kind of parts you can add to it. Or see if you can find a melody and some word to go along with it. Don't rush and force it though, just let it happen. I think that you have something cool to work with. Your LIOg cover is pretty cool too, just keep practicing that. The suggestion someone had earlier of playing along with the recording is a really good one. That will help a great deal, I used to play along to the whole D+T Live at Luther College album all the time. I even figured a few of the songs out myself that way. And it is usually so much fun it doesn't even seem like practice! Just keep playing and practicing dude, that is all anyone has to do....just practice! (even professionals). Oh and posting your stuff for feedback is always a good way to get exposure and improve. Especially among the friendly people of the DMB community.
