i used to play this all the time.
the bass riff is just:
E----0--0--4--5--4--7
play that over the first two lines then:
you [A] miss your old familiar friends [B] waiting just around the bend
[E (7th fret)] every [E/Eb] where you [C#m] look (every [B] where)
there's a [A] heart, i'm [B] here to hold on to ((or whatever it says))
repeat that riff over the next line.
then:
when you're [A] lost out there and you're [G#m] all alone
the [C#m] light is [B] waitin' to [A] carry you home, everywhere you look (intro riff again)
shoo-bee-do-bop bah dah [E (7th fret)]
this is from memory and my guitar isn't sitting here, but if you play along with the recording you'll get it. wasn't too hard to figure out.
