last minute thread about a 12 string

so I'm going guitar shopping tonight, made up my mind, buying a 12 string for under 1000 cdn. so about 900 US.

if anyone can give me any insight, recommendations, things to look for, advice, anything..... greatly appreciated.

Same things as any other guitar. Look at the action, sight the neck, and play everything in your price range. Have somebody else play them for you as well so you can hear the guitar's full sound. Close your eyes and pick the one that sounds and plays the best, then open up and find out what brand you just picked out.
