I was wondering if anyone could help me with a tab - or anything relating to the solo that Dave played last year at Golden Gate Park - - i think it sounds really good - doesn't sound that difficult, just barre chords i think, but i can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated - the fellas over at dmbtabs.com haven't been able to help me - - link to the 1 minute audio of what i'm talking about is below.

Thanks!

if you mess around with the high e, d, g, b strings you sohuld get it pretty close. Start at around the 10th and 12th fret

hey, man
i don't know exactly what you are looking for in the way of help, but i will tell you i believe the section where it really picks up, the notes are hit on upstrokes. beyond that, it's really a matter of a fast strumming hand and exceptional muting. the chords themeselves, though i haven't figured em out, aren't that hard sounding. try recording a clip of yourself playing it and maybe i can help you out from there.

edit: in your original post you said you think it is barre chords...doesn't sound that way to be. i think it's just single notes on maybe the g string up near the 12th fret with a lower octave sting played on the d, but i don't have my guitar around, just guessing here

yea man i listened to the link and i still don't think it's barre chords...i fooled around a bit and found most of it is played on the d and low a strings actually.
i will take a closer look tomorrow when i don't have studying to do.

that does sound like it could be close - - if anyone is willing to get the whole thing down that would be sweet - - sounds like it's maybe 4 different chords (or notes)...thanks
