Alright I haven't purchased my firepod yet for my band but I just want to get all the equipment figured out so I dont screw anything up before I do get it. Anways, what will be the best way to record an acoustic to get a good natural sound? We REALLY want to record together and overdub just the keys, vocal, and any other small parts.Could you run an acoustic through a Di and then through the firepod? Or is it going to come down to having to lay down a rythm track with a condenser up to the acoustic? Idk I just dont think micing the acoustic amp will give us what we want.;)

If you want a natural acoustic sound, miking the amp probably won't give you what you want. Also, depending on your guitar and it's electronics, a di isn't going to give you that natural sound you're looking for.

You can run your acoustic through the di in one channel and mic your acoustic with the condensor and run it through another channel and blend the two.
