Dude...waaaaaaaasted. :lol

I was beyond pissed off yesterday. Sanchez didn't look great but there were at least 4 drops. Rex's clock management was exactly like Herm's back in the day. And nice job with those challenges. But no, I do not pin this one totally on Sanchez. Really needed to run the ball more, hated the play calling.

See post above...wasted :lol

Alright, this makes me feel a little better :lol

7 drops yesterday. 7. This doesn't include the two INTs, one of which was definitely bullshit. Holmes misses a slant, Cotch drops first down and big gains downfield, Greene drops a screen pass with nothing but room to run. It was just disaster from everyone that was supposed to catch a ball. I would have run more, but I really don't have a problem with our gameplan. It was our execution.

Ughh, it was brutal to sit there and watch that mess. My problem with the game plan was the lack of running. And I have a huge problem with how Rex used his time outs, and how he used his challenges. That INT would have 100% been reversed, but Rex wasted both in the first half. Very bad decision by him.

I fricken hate driving through New Jersey by the way. :lol

I'm not sure the Steelers can play "left handed" on either side of the ball. You can blitz them on offense and dink and dunk them to death on defesne, and they can never make adjustments.

How big was she? A fucking monster! 10lbs 13oz, born the old fashioned way. My girlfriend was literally immediately given legend status at the hospital. Every nurse/dr. that came in said "oh, YOU'RE the 10 lb pusher?" Both of them are healthy though, both of them don't shut up, both of them don't stop eating... I guess nothing has changed really. I keed, but both of them really are doing fine. Her name is Olivia Grace. No DMB reference intended, we just couldn't decide between the two for a first name, so we made them her first and middle name. Life's good right about now.

11-08-2010, 07:59 AM
We could/should have lost the all 3 of the last 3 games. Looked terrible against Denver and Detroit. Luckily that idiot coach decided to throw instead of run and then we got the 15 yard personal foul. Defense still looked good and Revis was completely lockdown again. Maybe he is finally 100%.

CrashDMB237
11-08-2010, 09:20 AM
We looked terrible until the 4th quarter and in that stretch during the comeback I saw like 500 things that make you wonder why the fuck we can't just do it all game. Sanchez was GREAT. O-line was GREAT. Defense was LOCKDOWN. Why wait until you're down 10 in the 4th quarter and OT? Yea you can say we got lucky, but three straight scoring drives in the span of about 5 gametime minutes is not luck. And I don't care who it's against.

Pats :lol

Although I guess I shouldn't laugh, we'll be losing to the Browns next week.

Edit: And when Sanchez needed to win us the game, he did. Best sign of the day.

hbktonyb
11-08-2010, 10:43 AM
I'd like to see us finally go out and put on a solid performance from start to finish. Haven't done that since the Buffalo game, which isn't saying much. They looked good for a lot of the Vikings game too. These next 3 games are so important when our month of December is at NE, Pitt and Chic, and home against Miami!

Timebomb07
11-08-2010, 11:15 AM
^ Chicago will be in shambles by then, don't worry.

CrashDMB237
11-08-2010, 11:21 AM
We have to be 12-4 at the least to win the division. We are losing to Pitt in Pitt guaranteed. If we win next week that gives us the division tiebreaker, conference tiebreaker and the common opponent tiebreaker over NE. I would argue that next week's game is 10x more important than the game in New England. Especially if the Steelers can take them out next week.

I fully expect to roll in Cleveland. We have them covered matchup-wise in every single way. We should be able to force a minimum of three turnovers. Their strength is the run game, our strength is the run D. Their secondary is a bit stingy but we should be able to ground and pound them to death. We know first hand how Mangini's defense works... or doesn't work.

In theory you are exactly right, but the Jets have to get the penalties and turnovers worked out ASAP. They were lucky to only turn it over a couple of times after having what, 5 fumbles yesterday? And they can't be committing stupid penalties like they have been doing over the course of the season.

CrashDMB237
11-08-2010, 01:42 PM
Just read that Sanchez pretty much begged Rex to let him run the two minute drill in our last three scoring drives. In those three drives he was 10-13 for 144 yards with a rushing TD, undoubtedly his best stretch of the game. Did the same against the Dolphins, Vikings and Patriots. This speaks volumes. AKA, Schottenheimer fucking sucks. Shit, I thought it was a joke at the time, but remember on Hard Knocks when Sanchez was the OC during one of the preseason games and he led the team downfield for a TD? He really IS a better OC than Schotty.

hbktonyb

Peyton Hillis is a fucking beast. In a way I'm shocked he's the 2nd best RB in the league statistically, but after seeing him play against my team that is great at stopping the run, I'm not shocked at all. I like that our drives have been smart. After the first two drives Mark has looked extremely calm and cool. Our O-line really needs to step up the pass protection and our D really needs to step up the pass rush. Both are non-existant.

Any Jet fan that says part of this game wasn't luck is delusional. Sanchez played pretty good but that pass should have been intercepted. Stuckey fumbles. The idiot defender doesn't bat it down and decides to go for the interception at the 2 yardline. Their last few wins have been completely sloppy.

Having said that, they are finding ways to win games, and a win is a win, and no matter what we are 7-2 and have the best record in the AFC. We do need to put together a great performance to have a chance against a team like Pitt.

Honestly though, what more could you ask from our guys minus one drive in the 4th? Obviously it was the most important one but still. We open up the second half on a MASTERFUL 10 minute drive in which everything was clicking. Sanchez, LT, Green, O-line, receivers, playcalling. But because Folk blows a 24 yard field goal, we completely forget about it. Other than the first two Browns drives, we had them LOCKED DOWN. We just can't give up those one or two bad drives a game.

Very worried about our kicking game. That guy can cost us games down the stretch. He was horrible in Dallas and I hope that guy doesn't come back for good for the Jets.

CrashDMB237

Before yesterday he was 17/20... one miss was 50+, one miss was into the ridiculous wind vs. Green Bay and the other was a routine 30 yarder. I'm not worried about Folk although he has been proven to be a headcase. Luckily Rex will praise him publicly rather than Jerry Jones who bashed him publicly. Kickers are all mental.

Thats what I'm worried about, that this game will fuck with his head for the rest of the year. Not confident in Folk in a playoff game, at all.

I'm loving our schedule set up for the next 3 weeks. Got the Texans at home (Schaub is conveniently hurt) than a short week for the Bengals (thank God the short week is for them, shouldn't need much prep) and than a nice long stretch to prepare for the Pats.

If we sweep the Pats this year I will be beyond ecstatic. When was the last time the Jets swept the Patriots? :lol

As of right now, I don;t give the Jets much of a chance in NE. However, 3 weeks from now that could be very different. Jets are making too many little mistakes to beat the Pats at home, and the Pats (besides the Browns) have been pretty damn good lately

At the same time they could easily be undefeated. They have not gotten blown out, and haven't blown out many teams. They dominated today until the last half of the last quarter...turnovers will do that. Jets continue to have a lot to improve on, but what a crazy game to be at.

I agree, but I mean, when you nearly lose to the Lions and the Browns (yes they were streaking, but they still aren't legit) The Jets haven't been playing to their ability for 4 quarters. Not knocking them, they are still a top 3 team in the AFC.

But yes, I believe you have a franchise QB in Sanchize. His poise and ability to comeback, especially this game with so many turnovers and that late pick.
He definitely has stuff to work out, still holding the ball a little too long, but he is gonna do just fine. He's got great weapons. I cant wait for the NE/JETs game.

On the contrary, our opponents are lucky to be playing a team that forgets how to play defense on the most important possessions of the game. We put ourselves in the situation, we take ourselves out.

There was not a lick of "luck" in yesterday's game. There was no deciding factor in yesterday's game besides our own players. No dumb penalties, no bad decisions. We held them inside the 10, forced them into a FG. Sanchez scrambled to buy time for LT. Then Braylon was doubled, the safety started to cheat, Sanchez put it where no one but Braylon could get it. The next play, Holmes ran the route, Sanchez put it where only Holmes could come down with it.

Yesterday's game was run to perfection until the blown assignment on Dreessen after the Greene fumble. Then the wheels fell off. Even the next possession, Schaub was getting run out of bounds, douchebag Eric Smith leaves his man, Schaub hits him for like a gain of 30 in to the redzone I believe. That's been the theme... one or two bad defensive possessions. We have the talent, we have the coaching, we're just making mistakes. Having shit talent and shit coaching can't be fixed in-season, making mistakes can be.

Exactly. I did something different yesterday at the game, I stayed pretty sober and positive about the Jets :lol

Watching that whole game, that was not luck. The Jets biggest problem this year is finishing games. They have been allowing teams to get back into the game all year. Texans, Cleveland, Minnesota, even Denver, could have easily been run away wins but the 4th quarter has been a huge problem. As "lucky" as they have been with wins, at the same time, they could have easily won the Baltimore and Green Bay game, holding them to 9 and 10 points, respectively. I think the defensive problem is they are playing great to keep the game close, but when the Jets start getting up by 2 scores, they tone it down for whatever reason. Their intensity needs to keep going throughout the whole game. When they get this fixed, they will be pretty damn good. Hopefully it happens soon. This Thursday should not even be close.

Should be a very fun game for fans. You don't get regular season games like this very often.

24 17 Pats. Tie game with three minutes left, balding Beiber does us in, we don't have enough time for Miracle Part 6.

It's hard to beat a very good team twice in the same season which is why if we lose tonight, we will have split the season series. We can hate the Pats all we want, they can hate us all they want, the truth is we're two really good teams. Trust me I think we CAN win and wouldn't be surprised one bit if we did. But I don't think the Pats will go down without a gigantic battle. And unfortunately, as good as Rex and Sanchez have been... Brady and Belicheat are going to win battles.

Brady is going to be able to move the ball, we all know that. Key is to keep him out of the endzone and let them kick field goals.

I think losing Leonhard on such short notice really fucked us over. He was the anchor. You can't replace that in 4 days especially when you have guys like Eric Smith and Brodney Pool who can barely spell and remember their own names, respectively.

It hurts, but if Brady is completing 5-10 yard drags, I won't blame it on Leonhard not being there, because he always completes those against the Jets.

I predict 31-24 Pats...

Why? id say they both need it equally as much. winner most likely home field and a bye. At least if the jets lose we dont have to worry about the "cant beat a team 3 times" come playoff time. :D

Exactly. I'm not sure where he is getting this "Pats need it more" stuff. Winner of this game has an 80 percent shot at taking the division. It's just as important to the Jets.

simple. if the jets win we have a 1.5 game lead, the Pats win they have a 1 game lead.
