While I'm a big Jets supporter, the Texans were not that legit at all today. Steve Slaton is overrated as heck, their reliable #2 WR was out, and Schaub is not 100%. Great win, but they've got a long way to go still.

Love what I saw from Sanchez. Even with that interception, he bounced back immediately and drove them to a touchdown on the next drive. He definitely has a lot of potential, and I can't wait to see what he does against the Pats. Should be a great game.

Sanchez was impressive, the receiving corps was solid, the running game was good.

But give it up for the Defense. I have never seen the Jets play this kind of defense, and I absolutely love it. Schaub was eating grass all day, something that the Edwards regime and the Mangini Regime did not make happen. It's too early to tell just how good this team will be, but this is exactly how I was hoping this season would start off.

It's true! The inexperience of that wide receiver showed. I don't know how many times he looked up field before totally bringing in the ball. It was pathetic especially on the Patriots end zone attempt before the end of the first half.


But what was even more pathetic was how many times those footsteps played into the mind of the veteran Galloway. Oh, well, once again all I can hope for is improvement. Next game's at home and a little more will be on the line.

But anyone who watched that game would be lying to say that the Bills weren't in control for 53 minutes. Unfortunately for them, it's not a 53 minute game, and the Pats won. But to my eyes, which also watched the whole game, you guys won the most important 8 minutes of the game. They won the less important 53.

I really don't like the fact that we are going to be without Sheppard and Strickland. He's not a big name, but Strickland is ALWAYS making plays when he is on the field. And Sheppard out is bad because now we have to start Dwight Lowery. For as much shit as Sheppard got this preseason, he's played well in the two weeks of regular season. Hopefully with a legit pass rush, Lowery won't shit the bed in coverage.

Revis is good. At the game, I couldn't figure out in the first half if they were hanging back or getting blocked, then I heard Rex say his scheme was to go back in coverage until he gets comfortable, then come at him. They had some nasty blitzes in the 2nd half, and once they started, Vodka Collins was 0-11 with a pick.

Takeaways:

Our team is legit.
Our defense is the best in the league. We let a 4th q TD, but other than that, nothing. goaline stands, 4th down stands. Unreal.
Sanchez - He is a rook, big time. Can't make mistakes like that in the NFL.
Running game - needs a lot of work, but looked just ok today.
Shottenhemier - really bad playcalling today. No need for 10 wildcats, 3 3rd and 1 throws, then finally going 3-1 run where everybody saw it, getting stuffed. yuck.

3-1 going into the easiest part of our schedule - Oakland, Miami twice, Buffalo. Could easily get to 6-2 or 7-1.

He's a rookie QB playing against the defense with the most takeaways on the road in a very very tough place to play. I think half the reason that there wasn't so much hoopla about this game (other than on ESPN because they thrive on this shit) is because everyone kinda had a feeling this was coming. This thread was quiet, a lot of the fans were quiet, the players were quiet. It just didn't FEEL right from the get go. Sanchez isn't going to throw 3 picks a game, mostly because we won't be in situations where he has to TRY and make something out of nothing (which is where two of those picks came from).
