Why did I think you would be able to spot a post that was quite obviously a joke?

Because it's pretty realistic that you of all people could have been serious.

No it wasn't. I knew Brady was not coming back so why would it have been my slogan for the year?

Think about it, it's pretty self explanatory.

Think about it, it's pretty self explanatory.

Why would I say to someone "Wait until the Pats are at full strength next time they play your team" last year? While I know Tom Brady will not be back at all. I think you're the one that needs to think about it.

I feel extremely confident going into tonight's game. I don't know why after beating the shitty Bills all of a sudden there is some renewed confidence in the Dolphins. They are still a bad team. They still have a bad secondary. They still have no legit receiver. Chad Henne is still their QB. Henne got sacked 6 times last week... against the Bills.

Channing Crowder has a dance prepared if he makes a play? He's going to "cuss out" Sanchez? Maybe thats why he's so ordinary and mediocre, he worries more about 8th grade bullshit than making plays.

Jesus tony... you need to relax :lol

We had a very bad game defensively. We've CLEARLY proven that we can shut down the better offenses in the game. If we could have made just half of the tackles that we missed on first impact this would have been a different story. Calvin Pace hurt us more than helped us. He was NOT in football shape. We aren't going to be playing the best running team in the league every year. And it's not like they destroyed us... we held them to below their season average in rushing. The problem is we gave up big passes. Thank you Dwight Lowery...

At the end of all this, we're STILL in first, we STILL have a game on the team that most likely will be there in the end, we STILL have the Bills coming up, then the Raiders, then the Dolphins at home, then the Jags, plus another game against the Bills later in the year. It was a bad one... the D played like they never have before and I'm sure it was just a one time thing. Braylon looked GREAT and Leon got the ground game going. As hard of a loss as it was, we still had a great game offensively. Now put the D that we all know and love along with it and we'll be fine.

last night Henne was the better QB

CrashDMB237
10-13-2009, 09:47 AM
I think Henne also had the better receivers. Cotchery was barely on the field leaving it to Brad Smith and David Clowney. I'm extremely pleased with Edwards though but you can tell the two of them don't know each other well enough yet for Edwards to be taking over #1 duties right off the bat. I'm not making excuses. The Dolphins played better, they deserved to win. Just sayin.

Henne would maybe get into the offense every 3 plays or so when they were running the wildcat. it's extremely tough for a QB to sit a few plays then be expected to go in the game full speed to throw and pick up a 1st, then come back out again...just sayin

CrashDMB237
10-13-2009, 10:01 AM

Dude, its one game, who cares. Miami had an ON week and the Jets had an OFF week. Whatever. You think I actually think Kyle Orton is good just because Denver beat New England? Fuck no.

Eh, I guess I can just empathize. I think the Jets are 10x better than Miami (probably because they are) and I hate it when a good team loses to a clearly inferior one and then some fanbase is liek "oh, cuz they are better!". It's total crap. No, they were better that day. Get over it. Now, if the Jets lose every other game this season and to Miami again....nah, nevermind, they'd still be better.

Plus, it's not like the Jets or their fans have to worry about them making the playoffs anyways.:D

I could only back read so much on this thread, but you AFC east rivals are ridiculous. The Dolphins are a shit team? Sure we are 2-3 but we have the toughest schedule in the league, and should have won AT LEAST 1 one if not two of the games. We are one game out of first for the AFC East and the Jets get a chance in 3 weeks and Pats in 4. And nut up fellas Chad Henne better than you think, wildcat still works and dominates even against Rex Ryan, and the Dolphins are a very good football team with a very tough road ahead of them.

You play the exact same teams as us except for two games: you play the Steelers and Chargers, we play the Bengals and Raiders. Right now the Bengals are the better team between them and the Steelers. Argument = invalid.

Well I guess there's a reason a lot of analysts said Sanchez should have stayed another year or will need at least a year in the NBA. The bad news is he was fucking awful. The good news is we know he can be really good, we've seen it. He just needs to work out the rookie kinks. It also doesn't help that he STILL hasn't had the luxury of Cotch and Edwards on the field at the same time for more than 2 plays. The two of them are going to take pressure off each other, not to mention Cotch is a really good receiver. Dustin Keller apparently forgot how to catch a fucking ball, that didn't help either.

Either way, losing to the Bills is about as low as it gets. Embarassing.

I don't think we should give up on him, I do think he needs to sit on the bench though. He's not ready for this yet, in the future he may be good, but we are a talented "now" team that needs to win, and right now he obviously does not even give us a chance to win.

CrashDMB237
10-19-2009, 02:05 PM
We are not going to win NOW though... we aren't good enough for that. Maybe if Braylon can become that big threat we need within the next few weeks, I'd agree. But right now we are missing our #2 receiver, our #1 receiver is brand new and has to re-find himself, our TE forgot how to catch and we are giving up tons of yards on the ground.

hbktonyb
10-19-2009, 02:09 PM
We would be 5-1 if we had a QB that didn't produce 10 turnovers. Our defense and running game is good. But you can't win giving up that many turnovers. I think we will win now if our QB just controls the football and makes a pass once in a while. Clemens can't be worse than the kid.

I can't even believe the letdowns over the years. 09 - start 3-0, Sanchez looks great, defense looks unstoppable...now, 3-3, worst team in the NFL over the last 3 weeks. 08 - start 8-3, Brett Favre, beat the undefeated Titans in week 11...end, 9-7, no playoffs, Favre's arm falling off.

Then of course you have the lost AFC championship game that we were leading into the half, the Doug Brien debacle, etc..., etc...., etc....

Now it's just letting Sanchez make some throws and get the rest of the offense accustomed. We weren't supposed to make the playoffs from day 1, and now we are seeing why. Could we still make a run? Sure, I think we're good enough to. But we aren't going to win a playoff game and honestly, I'd rather just let Sanchez go ape and get the rookie BS out of the way. Leon done for year, possibly career (http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/2009/10/leon-done-for-year-possibly-ca.html)

The Jets' season was rocked with another bad injury at the Oakland Coliseum.
Jets RB Leon Washington is out for the season after breaking his right leg today against the Raiders. Washington suffered a fractured fibula that required emergency surgery. According to players, the bone broke through the skin. One player said, "I could see blood spurting out. I've never seen anything like that before." It could be a career-threatening injury.
An unidentified player landed on Washington's leg as he went down awkwardly, one of those cover-your-eyes plays. Teammates immediately motioned to the sideline for medical help.
Washington was carted off the field.
If he's sideline for a lengthy period, Washington will be second-guessed for not accepting the Jets' proposed contract extension. The deal that was on the table at the end of the preseason included $5 million in guarantees, plus another $5 million guaranteed for injury protection.
Washington rolled the dice, deciding to play out the final year of his current deal ($535,000). Under the current CBA, he will be a restricted free agent.

SoRight24

Hopefully he recovers from this and is able to play again, I know it will take some time to recover.
