download: smashing pumpkins - today

I was messing around the other day, and I started playing Today by the Smashing Pumpkins on my acoustic. Over yesterday and today, I mapped out a little acoustic version. I like how it turned out. I changed a bunch of stuff, as you'll notice.

one of the better recordings i've heard from you. your voice is starting to get stronger and your ears are starting to get better. it's still a little pitchy, but an improvement.

the arrangement was nice. the piano added a nice touch. was it you playing it or someone else? as i recall, that worthless fucker that plays with you sometimes plays keys. :lol but i doubt he could pull this off. there were a couple of flubs, though.

Yeah, that was me on the piano. The flubs were inevitable. I did the guitar track is one take, so I wasn't going to stop and rerecord. And I knew my vocals weren't going to be perfect, so I stuck with takes that I felt were decent.

Thanks. I record with an M-Box and ProTools. I have two microphones, an Audio Technica AE3000 and an Audio Technica AE5100.

Pumpkins is a good choice of cover for you....your voice is a good match.
