So I have been playing guitar for 3 and a half years now, somewhat obsessively. I now have some songs I am getting a little proud of. I really would love to hear what my fellow DMB fans think of the music.

check them out and either say nice things or make fun of me. It is up to you

They're okay. Best I've Found has good chord progression and decent rhythm. Nothing special, but nothing horrible.

P.S. Do not put up original music on myspace.com, they own all of the rights are royalties to your songs. The only rights you have to your songs are the right to play them. Look at the disclaimer.

You have to own the copyright to put songs up there. Read that disclaimer.

Nobody owns rights to performing songs. They can be performed wherever and whenever unless it is for money or through somethign else copywritten

Your chord progression and rhythm is on Shine is identical to a Third Day song called "Consuming Fire." Of course you melody and lyrics are different, but your guitar part for the verse is identical.

I doubt you have even heard the song I am talking about, it is just funny.

Thanks alot for the feedback guys! I couldnt appreciate it more. If any of you guys play and can share some music I would love to hear it. I would also like to hear that song COnsuming Fire. Any chance you have an MP3?

You're really good, man. I dig your voice. I usually grill people on here, but it's really good stuff. And don't worry about the copywrite theft...as long as you can prove that you wrote them. A good way is to mail a cd of your songs via registered mail to yourself and don't open it. It has a date on it and as long as it's not opened it will be found to be the fruits of your creativity.

nice. I like it, but the rhythm is a little up-tempo for me. Good work though.

Although nowadays that is probably a better reference than Trey Anastasio's "shine"

"best ive found" sounds great....on "fly without wings" you kinda sound like john mayer a little bit. the verse that song sounds like a song i have heard but can't think if it right now......good stuff

Any court in this country will rule in the favor of the guy with an envelope containing a cd from before the music reaped any profits. It's just elementary. :cool
