It kinda feels like it is missing something. Maybe a sax, or harmonica or something. Something....can't put my finger on it.

If you were thinking bass line...then the finished version will have that. :hump

Yeah, that would definately help, but something else would add flavor. A bass line would make it a lot more fun to listen to.

Yeah, we definately need to take the trio to a cautro, or a cinco. (yes I know it is technically called a quartet and a quintet)

Interesting. I guess thats just how I sing. I'll experiment though with adding life to it now that you mention it. I was having fun when recording it though, i guess it just didn't translate to my vocals. Thanks for listening :)

I got the same impression. I was kinda feeling bored during it.

It was solid music, don't get me wrong. You are on the verge of something really good.

i don't like this nearly as much as i liked the brown sugar cover. though the drumming is better (simple is the key here - when there's only a djembe, it's hard to fuck up).

the verse guitar riff sounds like something i've heard a million times. and the guitar doesn't sound very good itself.

the voice is pretty empty, and has some pitch problems here and there.

i don't know, this one just didn't do it for me. the lyrics kind of killed it.

I liked it. The lyrics were fine, the voice was fine too. I didn't mind it at all

Thanks everyone who listened. I unerstand some of the criticizm. We took the gamble and recorded this song only a week after it was written, which has its ups and downs. The upside is that we really like this song and have a lot of fun playing it. The downside is that, unlike all of our other originals, it hasn't been developed with a lot of energy yet because we havent played it live. It'll get there though. And I like it, so it stays :)

I do not like it at all. Any of it. To sound so unnatural it is very simple and the lyrics are really stupid...sorry dude. And a good musician can record a song the minute it is written and make it sound just fine. I am officially in a bad mood.
