Dave Matthews Band
Randall’s Island, New York
August 6, 2006
My first ever Dave Matthews Band show, courtesy of a friend with an extra ticket. Loved the show, hate the venue and will never go there again, absent a Beatles reunion (inclusive of John & George ... get my point ...never again.)
Recorded from the 82nd Row, had one mic pointed at the mid-stack that was some 20 rows in front of me, and the other mic pointed at the stage. Surprisingly, from that far back I captured a great mix and a full rich sound.
Recorded, Extracted and Edited by TaperAdvocat, uploaded to the Dime on August 8, 2006.
Source Info: Schoeps CCM4's > SD744T > firewire to hard drive of dedicated music only
computer > Bit Conversion and re-sampled with Sound Forge 7.0 > indexed in Sound Forge 4.5
> CD set up with CD Architect 4.5 > CD burned with CD Architect 5.0 onto Mitsui Gold CD >
Extracted to Internet Capable Computer with EAC > FLAC.
Hope you all enjoy this recording as much as I do. Please let me know what you think. And
most importantly, share it freely with your loved ones and friends.
May those who try to sell or otherwise profit from my recording be cursed with all the bad karma
that you justly deserve. This means you Middle Valley, VGP & all you other scum sucking
bootleggers who profit from my recordings. We will find you and we will put you out of
business.

I have the last approx. 15 min of Bela Fleck’s set - don’t know the names of what I heard and all of David Grays ... which I used to adjust levels ... there are a few pops in those resultant from having levels set a tad bit too high ... but nothing all that bad ... I’ll try to post those in a day or two if there’s much demand for it.

I think i saw a mic for night 1, im pretty sure of it. Theyre also taper friendly and on the archive, so i dont imagine that everything before and after them were taped but not them... but we'll see, who knows.
