I'll be there-it's going to be awesome, as usual. I was at DMB's show in the Pavilion last year, and the only song I wanted to hear and didn't get was Dancing Nancies. He didn't play it the other day in Charlotte, so chances are looking good!

Nice find, thank you.

Tim's tapes are usually very solid, I look forward to hearing this one.

I just downloaded the taping mentioned above. It's a good recording, and thankfully the submitter didn't cut the tape anywhere. This show had a lot of extra banter and a few good solos, and they're all included. However, people are still having a bit of trouble with the last 20 seconds of the recording. It cuts them out, and the submitter is working on a solution. Other than that, it's definitely worth a look.

Another note-although the torrent has been changed, the submitter acknowledges that the final part of the last song is still missing. Here's a quote from the submitter(tbrown4):

"Man..this is frustrating. I'm not sure what the issue is. I will double check this when I get home from class. I will look at the original file set and figure out another easy fix. At this point I will be be happy to simply post another fixed track and FFP txt somehwere for HTTP download, rather than BT. Sorry to eat up your ratio on this."

I've confirmed the continuing error myself by downloading the new file, which is not fixed. We'll just have to wait until the true fix is made. In the meantime, the concert is most definitely still worth the download.

All right! The appropriate changes have been made, and the new files are available here: http://www.factorial.us/~tbrown/dmb/ (http://www.factorial.us/%7Etbrown/dmb/).
Thanks again, tbrown4!

thanks Crumbo!!!

should someone tell dreamingtree.org to take down that torrent file then, if it is failing on people at the last 20 seconds? I didn't fully understand the problem, but it seemed as if the dls were getting fuggsed up at the last 20 seconds - not sure if the torrents were finishing their dls - I just hate to see all those people dling a link that won't work (sorry if it does work - couldn't really tell from this thread)

so far, what recording do yall think is the best. Im listening to the first recording the dmb2006-06-21.spc4s.ps2.ad20.fixed.flacf one. And it sounds as if the bass overrides the vocals.

What would be the best recording

I was just going to post and say that i have a copy of the show in MP3 format for people who don't know how or don't want to take the time to covert from FLAC to Mp3. I know people don't like MP3 but hey, its what the masses use. It has had a lot of work done to it so it sounds great. AIM sn is Tennisloser04.

Um, did you see where the tapers asked for this not to be spread in lossy formats? That's MP3. That means don't do what you're offering to do.

i apologize for that. Can i ask one question though. not to be a jerk, but why arn't there any MP3 versions of the shows out there. It would save a lot of trouble and space. i was just wondering don't take offense. but to the tapers. thank you for your work

golf7

Because FLAC is lossless, like WAV, and mp3 looses along of the integrity of the recording. Also when re-creating the live experience, you need all the quality you can get.

I personally convert to mp3 to save space on the mp3 player, but on the computer, most definatly flac/shn
