Crumbo is my choice. I'm a fan of the akg rigs. Scott Brown's tape is most likely terrific as usual too. It's all about preference..
Naylor and Crumbo happen to be my personal favs, but everyone's ears are different. If you don't have a certain preference, I would listen to samples from each source, because every tape this year has been badass.
EDIT: Does anyone know if Eric taped this one?

I just feel like being a prick I guess....but hey there buddy....Yeah YOU>...HE played say goodbye eh? What about that "other guy" on the drums....oh yeah ...how bout the guy on the sax. HMMM was i mistaken, or did that band have a bass guitar somewhere up there? Well I tell ya one thing, if there was a bass, it was probably on the other side of the stage from the big guy with the violin.....and there might have been a guy with a keyboard, but dont quote me. Hey did everyone hear yet.....THEY, the dmb played Say Goodbye tonight. F'n people with their DAVE DAVE DAVE chants and He played my song tonight. GOD DAMN!!!! This is Waaaayyyy off topic and all, but Phil PISSED me off today with his "idiot" decisions. F'n noobs. :BANG

Aren't they in stereo this year? If so, is this heavy on certain band members being right in front of the right stack? Just wondering; your tapes are usually awesome!

OK guys this might not be the appropriate place to ask this but....I downloaded the show, and for some reason, I only got from HFTGL on. :shrug did this happen to anyone else?
Oh, and I took Scott Browns tapes if that matters.
so would anyone be willing to send me just:
01 Intro 02:18.15
02 One Sweet World** 08:03.69
03 Best of Whats Around* 07:01.09
I am trying to avoid having to re-download the show.
Thanks in advance if you can, and if not any suggestions on where to try and get just those songs?

Okay, this is probably going to sound like a ridiculous question but I am new to downloading shows and everything. So I used bt.etree.org and then Azureus to download both SPAC shows (6.16 and 6.17) and it says they're seeding now, but downloaded. I know this probably sounds stupid, because I have no idea what to do, but I was wondering, once it's finished, how would I burn it to a cd, do I need to transfer the format it's in? Or how would I get it into ITunes? I would just love to be able to put the shows on cd or get them into ITunes eventually, I'm sorry for the "amateur" questions and I appreciate everyone's patience, but I am in need of a little guidance here. Thank you very much, I really appreciate any advice.

I was also wondering if people still trade by copying the shows onto cd then mailing them, because I'd certainly be interested, thank you.

you need to now get a program to convert the shns/flacs to wav
i recommen xact, works for pc and mac and does both shn and flac
once to convert to wav you can drag and drop in itunes and burn no prob

Checked out the Crumbo and the Greppson and my ears favor the Crumbo, but it was close.
Crumbo's recording is a little louder, but not to the point where it washes out the levels either. Greppson's is definitely solid, too, with a nice, clear sound, so, I think it comes down to personal preference.
What's the word on the other pulls?

I went with Scott's and Crumbo's. I think they sound almost identical, the only differences I can hear is that Crumbo's is a bit louder and Scott's has more Roi.
Other than that, both are A++ recordings and I recommend both.

If you're using a PC, you want to use MKW (http://www.etree.org/mkw.html) to convert those SHNs to wavs. If you're on a Mac, you'll want xACT (http://www.etree.org/macos.html) to make the conversion.
I have since listened to the Brown tape and find it to be my favorite out of the four I've listened to (Brown, Crumbo, Clark and Johnson). I think that pull has the cleanest sound and the bass isn't too heavy.
The other two are McCullough and Howell, correct? How do those stack up?

You need a bittorrent program like uTorrent, Azureus, or BitTornado to use that torrent to download the actual show.
You open up the torrent file you download off of dt.org in one of those programs and then they will do the rest.
