Two Step new originals

Hey guys,

I am Brent from Two Step, the Dave tribute out of Charlotte NC. I posted this on the DMBc forum first but I wanted to get some musician's feedback. We are releasing an album towards the end of the year, so we still have to work out the kinks but we have the songs in mind and five of them done. i'm sorry, but this looks like shameless promotion.

if you had established yourself on these boards prior to this post, i wouldn't have a problem with it. it seems, however, by looking at your posts, that your intention on these boards is to hype your band.

that simply isn't what these boards are for.

Don't be a tribute band dude, come on. I know you love DMB, you should play a couple cover songs...but don't be a tribute band. You are only setting yourself up to get bagged on.

Your originals sound pretty good though, get a new name and you guys are set.

And your sax player kicks ass.
