I've posted some things before, but I was going to use these songs for a demo, so I was seeing if i could get some of you guys to listen and tell me what you think.

Any comments are appreciated.

All I have is a myspace link because they were recorded on my friends laptop and I don't have any other way of getting them onto my computer.

Not to be a dick, but this sounds like a DMB cover band wrote an original song.

It's just too DMB for me.

Wow, I thought I was being harsh at first, then I listened to your second song on there...it's like you want to be Dave. Typical Situation? Plus your lyrics are about as cliche Dave as you can get.

Chill with the DMB.

Wow. I'm really not trying to write like Dave at all. In fact, I've tried to make sure that I don't use any parts from Dave songs, at least guitar wise.

But to each his own I guess. Thanks for listening.

I didn't hear the DMB sound so much in the first song at all. Sounded normal to me.

Totally heard it in the second song. Definately sounded like a Typical rip off.


Keep working though. You sound good. :)

No not really, but of course I'm the one writing it... so thats why I posted some of it on here. But, actually I've played it for DMB fans and I've never got any reactions like yours before. But now that you mention it, I can see the similarities of the second one to Typical Situation. I never even noticed. But, thats okay because I have seriously considered shelving that one for awhile. We didn't play it at the last show.

The first and third one to me don't sound anything like DMB.

The first one sounds like more like a Jack Johnson rip-off too me. The others are just bad. Sorry man.
