I recently discovered this site: http://www.myguitarsolo.com/sc_box.htm
It seems good, but I have no idea what that diagram for that link means! Can anyone explain it to me?

That looks like a useful site. Think I might bookmark it myself.

The diagram shows how to move from scale to scale with the n being the root note. I don't know too much else to help you with.

what it is is the notes in each kind of scale

the root note is the note with the "n" right under it, and the grid is the fretboard.

Got it. What I was confused about was the red and black things, but I guess you play all the notes marked; red notes are just changes from the last.
I learn just the one pentatonic scale there, and it's amazing how well you can jam just by knowing one scale. Definitely a brilliant website there.

seeing as the major pentatonic scale follows the same pattern once you know the pattern you know them all ;)
